Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

I was in one of the lower ground floor rooms and it was very hot in there. Possibly opt for upstairs if you want a breeze/cooler space. If I'd been staying more than one night, I would have asked at reception as the staff there were very helpful for everything else.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, very close to a tube station and well placed to get around London. My room was comfortable and clean, and staff were lovely and welcoming when I arrived, making check in a very smooth experience. As it turned out there was even a free glass of wine and a cheese spread on the night I arrived which was a lovely surprise!

Tube trains rumbling underneath: could disturb some people. Also room could do with a bit more in the way of horizontal surfaces to put things down on, the ‘desk’ is very compact!

The room without windows is just so claustrophobic.
The location is good if you want something outside of the main main streets of a big city. It also has some restaurants nearby and a metro stop right next to it. The personal is nice and friendly

Down the side of the bed by the wall was absolutely filthy and the bathroom was quite small and exposed

Room had no windows, was always too hot or too cold with the air con. Water damage on walls, scrapes and dirt on walls. Didn’t feel super clean.
The location was very good, very close to Old Street tube station, which was only 2 stops from Kings Cross. Bar put out free cheese and wine on certain days!

No mini fridge in the room. Not convenient if you wanna keep some cold beverages.
Good value for the money. Clean and nice little room in an excellent location. The area is very nice, full of restaurants, cafés and supermarkets, there are several bus stops and a tube station right next to the hotel.

The air con didn’t go very low so because of the heat it was very very warm in the room. Windows that don’t open are great for safety but could have better air flow to make the rooms less stuffy

There was nothing really that I didn't like, my experience was pleasant. I guess missing out on trying the food?
Checking in was very fast and simple. The location of the hotel met my needs comfortably. The cleanliness of the room was superb and the facilities were great with a comfy bed, decent TV and nice shower. My only nitpick was I wish I had a room with a window as I love a view but for the price of a single room without one it met my expectations and was actually surprisingly cosy.

No option to check in a bit early, a bit of confusion with that. Also some confusion among staff in regards to the menu, what items were available, what wasn't. Very small thing though.
Room is fantastic, second time staying there and no issues at all. For the price, of course considering London costs, you don't get much better in terms of value for money.

The smell from the bathroom. Stuffy on the second level of the bed even with the air conditioner running
The room was better than expected, despite the tiny size we were not uncomfortable. The glass door to the bathroom was frosted, removing awkward moments for family stays.
