It was not a surprise as many other reviews say the same but the room and the bathroom were a bit tired.

The staff were all very accommodating and helpful. Absolutely made my stay. A few steps away from a stunning park and local restaurants.

The room was freezing cold and smelled with old cigarettes. I needed to cover myself with towels for extra protection from cold during the night, and skipped even a shower because it was impossible to undress in such a freezing bathroom.

The room had a few huge cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and the shower was hanging off the wall with a window opposite with no blind or curtain (although the glass was frosted)

The location was perfect for us and the hotel is decorated beautifully - the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and outgoing.

The rooms seemed an little dated and did not reflect the pictures on the website. In my room the curtains were sun faded and there was no blind up at the bathroom window. The mirror in the bathroom had black marks on. The downstairs loo seat near reception was cracked and to be fair once pointed out it was replaced immediately.

The breakfast was beautifully cooked, and the staff were fabulous Charlotte ensured all our needs were met along with her colleagues- we felt very looked after. Some of our group of colleagues complained about the beds being too hard, mine was lovely though. Thank you

It's a 1980's style Best Western somehow struggling on. As a result the fittings are old-style in the room & bathroom. Few power points.

Large room quiet room, decent breakfast, secure parking, (I paid £5 for 6pm - 12.30pm next day), helpful friendly reception staff. Good value for money.

Nice old fashioned hotel, spacious rooms, but a bit cold. Staff were really nice and helpful. Close to local pubs and restaurants.

Parking is now chargeable which we didn't know. Rooms were clean but basic, no toilet roll holder or toilet brush, or light bulb in the lamp. Very thin duvet. Applied for a room upgrade but didn't get it.

Breakfast was good. New carpets and bathroom had been re-done.

Bedroom small for standard but what I expected. Bath and hot water, beautiful old building in a quiet location immediately opposite country park and Palm glass house not far. Accepted blue badge parking. £139 family of four with breakfast. Excellent value.

Rooms exceptionally small, and for the price, not comfy. Had to change our first room and the shower was mouldy, the new room wasn’t any better - quite aged rooms. apparently too the hotel closes on a Sunday at 11.. all the doors locked and everyone out.

Location was good, and some of the staff were nice (Andy and Tim)

For guests with mobility issues proximity of the car park. Needed some up dating. Shower facilities - height of shower tray difficult for someone with mobility issues to get in - needs modernising to be lowered and with non slip surface of tray with a door rather than the shower curtain.

Proximity to local area, parking was reasonable. Comfortable beds. Dining room area.
