The toilet in the room was a bit finicky - it would only flush about one time in four.

Pub staff was incredibly friendly and professional. The dinner menu was quite tasty and they were able to fit me in without a booking. Also the size of the tub in the room was delightful; I'm quite tall and I could actually fit into it which is rare in hotels.

Staff were very friendly and cheerful. Provision of milk in a flask was greatly appreciated . Choice in restaurant for gluten free was limited but acceptable however breakfast was poor small in quantity, sausages contained gluten very poor in this day and age only half a mushroom . Breakfast was very much below the standard of everything else. Needs addressing otherwise all good 👍

There was nothing to not like.

The room was very spacious even though it was a twin room. The bathroom was large and even included a corner bath. There was lots of extras included, shower gels, teas and a proper coffee machine. The block of rooms were very secure and the staff were very friendly and helpful. You can even take dogs here for a £20 flat rate.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Looked after us and our dog. Pub food was great and breakfast marvellous. No noise from pub as hotel is across car park. Great value for money and we were in centre of Canterbury in 5 mins in car.

The decor in the rooms is a little bit dated and a little bit of noise can travel between rooms at times- overall these things didn’t affect our stay at all, but it may be something other guests may want to consider.

The breakfast was delicious, lots of options to choose from. The room was very clean. Some other reviewers have noted that the bed is hard, but we both found it very comfortable. We had one evening meal in the pub which was also really nice. The staff were very friendly and attentive- couldn’t have had better customer service! Nothing was too much trouble and they clearly were working very hard when dealing with a busy breakfast service. Very close to Canterbury, 10 min drive away. There is a bus stop right outside but due to bank holiday service we didn’t use it. The Evenhill staff were also helpful with providing parking/transport recommendations as well as recommendations for things to do in Canterbury. We would definitely stay here again if we were visiting the area- really good value for money with the friendliest staff that make you feel so welcome.

The room got hot even without the heating on, so the room was a bit stuffy so we were sweating. There is an air con in the room but I did not think it was needed for the current weather. The decor is a bit outdated so did not match the decor of the outside building.

The room was spacious, the bathroom was big with a big bath tub. Breakfast was great, super tasty and very filling. The pub in the evening was great, lovely atmosphere and dog friendly. Lots of car parking. Quiet area so if you are a light sleeper, you should be able to sleep through the night without being disturbed.

The shower constantly dripped. Fresh milk was offered but as there was no fridge in the room it would not have lasted overnight so no morning cuppa. We ate in the restaurant in the evening but food was very average considering the price.

The room was pleasant but a little tired in decor. Bed and bedding was comfortable. Well stocked drinks and biscuits basket. Lots of choice for breakfast and very friendly lady who served us.

Rooms not attached to pub so had to go outside to get meals. Heating system illogical and considering it was winter, I would expect the bathroom radiator to be on before we arrived. The sloping ceiling by the bed was a challenge for my husband. We couldn’t go to room separately because the front door of accommodation required the key.

Were out of most vegan breakfast options despite emailing beforehand, but was substituted with veggies, and staff really attentive and nice.

Room exceeded expectations, with free biscuits and espresso machine! Staff were lovely and had a drink at the bar.
