United KingdomIt has gotten run down over the years but what are you expecting for the price! It's over £100 cheaper than other hotels in the area ! If your looking for a good quality hotel this isn't it but if your looking for a comfortable cheap hotel this is perfect. The pub is closed and no breakfast ect but we didn't have a problem with that.
We have stayed at the hotel regularly over the years and we was worried after reading the reviews on here BUT the room we stayed in was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the staff as always are very helpful. It's a cheap hotel and it's good value for what it is! It was very quiet in the hotel too. We will definitely be using the greyhound on our next visit.

This hotel is huge but is on its last legs/past its sell by date as all facilities closed bar the doors open to the rooms. Website has swimming pool Spa restaurant but they all closed so no food when u arrive and no breakfast The lifts are out of order too. Massive site ready for major refurbishment and new owners to rejuvenate it. Spoke to a local publican who told me it was closed for 2 years during Covid housed Refugees and then Environment agency apparantly closed it down as the kitchen had cleanliness issues. It served my purpose of a bed. for the night TV worked and I had shower in am but if u arrive looking to get dinner the village pubs up the road in Grazely are closed or only open later in the week so us city dwellers are stuffed. The Indian Restaurant 4 mins walk was open very good. Premier Inn is a down the road as is Travelodge. I paid £56 for room and I now wish I had gone for the Holiday Inn nearby at £110 a si would have had use of the gym had bar and git brekkie in the morning instead of the Cafe down the road on my short route to my appointment

United KingdomThe room did not contain toiletries such as body wash/hair products which are advertised on the website as being included. One of the rooms did not even including hand wash which we had to request at reception after checking in. When we questioned this, the male worker said we could go buy some from across the road. The room also did not have milk for the teas, when checking with the male worker at reception the answer was that he has not ordered any yet and gave me a cup of milk. We also requested to be roomed close to each other but we’re roomed on the top and bottom floor, 2 floors between us, this was disappointing as was confirmed via email we could be roomed close by. The rooms were also very old fashioned and not reflected by the rooms on the website. The worst part also was both of our rooms did not lock, which was not ideal as we are not from the area and created anxiety. There are also long term tenants which were noisy on the top floor. Worst hotel experience so far simply because the hotel was was not reflected correctly on the website and also had a poor customer service experience.
The location was fair for what our weekend entailed.

United KingdomOld and dated room, a little run down, no toiletries provided. Communal areas did smell a lot of smoke despite lots of signs not to smoke. Lighting wasn’t very good in room to get ready and couldn’t have curtains open as room was on ground floor and people could see in walking past or parking.
Close to location of wedding venue visiting. Staff were friendly. Bedding and towels were clean and comfortable sleep.
