How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The hotel prides itself on a great little bar with a huge range of drinks - cocktails a speciality. They don't serve evening meals (although there are plenty of places locally in Kenilworth), bu.t they do serve an imaginative cheese board/ cheese and continental meat board. Within 10 minutes walk of the station so very convenient if working in Coventry

Room size (I used to stay in the next door building they had which was very spacious and comfortable) TV was almost on the ceiling Shower wasn't great I took a shower and had to use all the towels to dry the floor to be able to use the bathroom without slipping Phone was very dusty when I had to call them to come and fix the TV Room was cold but I had a heater on th floor All in all not a £90 per night quality

Our bedroom was above the cocktail lounge and that was very noisy until midnight (we were warned about it)

It is a cocktail bar too so can be loud at night especially at the weekends, people talking outside your bedroom windows and door. Parking is ok but sometimes you need to ask other customers to move so that you can get out, as they are 2 rows of 3 cars parked behind each other.
Clean. Close to shops. Parking space. Very comfortable beds. Staff available should you require anything. Everyone very friendly.

It was hard to find. We drove up and down the high street several times and couldn't see it, so I phoned and they gave me directions. The parking was all in a line, with one car behind another, so we had to leave our keys with reception so they could move the cars around if someone wanted to leave early. The parking doesn't have a gate on it. Our room was really small. But had that we needed for a one night stay. Breakfast wasn't great. No cold drinks on offer at all, no fruit juice either. I don't drink tea or coffee, so I didn't have any drink at all for breakfast. There wasn't much selection compared to other places we've stayed at in the same price bracket. If we stayed again, we wouldn't bother to have breakfast here.
The shower was large. The bed was comfy. The staff were lovely.

Parking out back- website needs updating as google images still show house out back as kenilworth, sure we are not the only ones who nearly parked infront, Shower was only warm the following morning, can assume alot of guests used the hot water up

Clean, comfortable and well-equipped room - a large bathroom with gorgeous shower. Breakfast was nice, with good coffee and everything you need. Had a lovely dry martini in the bar before retiring, and the sound of those still drinking didn't carry into the room at all.

We were in the annex and our neighbours chatted at volume til 4 in the morning. Not the hotels fault but sad as we were away to rest.

No bath, TV had no sound, breakfast disappointing, I went up the road to a coffee shop on the corner.

The wet room was exactly that after first person shower, could do with a squeegee broom to get rid of some of the water off the floor
