How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Good value, good location for this visit, the hotel is a bit tired, carpets ! but clean and friendly staff.

Having snacks available for young children as my grandson was very hungry. We had to book for dinner but it is hard to know when your 7 year old is going to be hungry
The whole building and area surrounding it. Staff were friendly and kind, rooms were ok, swimming pool was very cold and so was the floor in the changing rooms but all good.

The pillows need and how noisy some guest can be returning to their rooms as the walls/doors aren’t sound proof!
Within walking distance to our daughter and the shops etc. very friendly and helpful staff…especially Zoe she went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay/sleep

Unfortunately, I was in a room right at the back which was very cold (though I was able to turn on the radiator) and very smelly (musty). So much so that when I unpacked on getting home, my bag and contents still smelt strongly of the old, damp musty smell from the room.
Staff are bright, friendly and very helpful.

The stairs, the uneven steps, twists & turns of the steps. It did state on site that there was no lift however I was still surprised at the state of the stairs.
Bed extremely comfortable and room was clean but very dated.

Bedroom was tired looking, the tea and coffee facilities were in a drawer, but the drawer had loose hairs and dust inside, so we had to wash the mugs out. We arrived 45 minutes prior to the 3pm check in because there was a rail strike , so we hit the rd early, but reception wouldn't let us in the room until dead on 3pm, a bit stingy. Especially as the room was ready. We was advised to sit in their bar...which wasn't open, lol. Or to go the local pub. I just didn't see the problem in letting us in. But hey-ho.
We liked the pool & jacuzzi, although business men took over the jacuzzi for a LONG time, which was a bit disappointing as there was no room for anyone else and they didn't offer to let others in

The hotel is very dated and could do with a major update. The cooked aspect of the breakfast was nice but there was very limited choice of cereals etc.
The staff were lovely and were very helpful . The location and leisure facilities were some of the reasons we chose this hotel. We enjoyed our time at the hotel using the spa at the end of our journey.

We’ve stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and the difference in rooms is unbelievable, whereby we’ve stayed in the best and worst. The latest stay was in a very small room with frosted glass windows because they didn’t have a view, admittedly this was reflected in the difference in price with the best on offer rooms. The hotel in general looks tired and needs a thorough renovation and needs a lift (this being the reason we didn’t choose the best rooms, as they’re located on the top floor reached by stairs only. At my age and with luggage this is a difficult task !!

Sometimes too busy to get last minute bookings when i want to visit at short notice
I grew up 2 minutes walk from here and walked past on my paper round as a young lad, so location is enough, but If you add the pool, and jacuzzi etc and decent food in the restaurant,friendly staff, then it makes it an ideal choice for me
