Loads of dust on top of the wardrobe... these things let hotel rooms down

Room 36 was really well appointed, the bed was comfortable, there was a nice coffee machine in the room and the bathroom was really good, great shower and really clean Food was really good and reasonably priced Service was brilliant in the restaurant and all the staff were really attentive

No issues, served its purpose as a stopover. Good it on A55 with ample parking.

The view from our bedroom window was disappointing - a small raised garden and garden wall.

The bedroom was very clean and comfortable. A large bed and adequate storage space for clothes and cases. The bathroom was clean with plentiful hot water and toiletries. Quick kettle and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was superb both cold continental fruit pastries and meat and cheese buffet followed by a full English. Dinner the night before was also a pleasant experience - serving staff very attentive - limited menu butt well cooked. Very good views across the River Dee with Liverpool cathedral on the horizon.

The health club is very popular and at times we had trouble parking.

The breakfast was very good! Basically you could have anything on the list and eggs were cooked as required. Plenty of choice for continental breakfast too. Our room and the spa overlooked the estuary.

You can hear everything from the other rooms. If you are unlucky as happened to us, you might have someone walking on your head all night long keeping you awake since the pavement is badly cracking. When I have suggested the stuff during the checkout to inform the customers to respect the others, I didn't see any reaction. A bit controversial since this should be a place where to relax and sleep well

The sound quality of the room television was poor and it could be heard more in the adjoining room than ours. Other sounds, such as my electric razor also permeated because of inadequate sound proofing. The range of drinks available in the bar was poor. I was served a glass of Pinot Noir that was clearly off and there were no malt whiskeys on sale. An otherwise excellent breakfast was disappointing because the cold buffet options were limited.

The hotel stands in a convenient location on the A55 with a splendid panorama over the River Dee. There is an outdoor terrace which must be a joy in warm weather. It has been, relatively recently, refurbished to a good standard. All members of staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. It was freshly cooked and the hotel has a reputation for excellent food.
