Room was very warm and couldn’t be cooled, made it hard to sleep, no need for building to so much heating on.

Bathroom Service in the restaurant was slow

Very helpful staff. They looked after 2 bikes for us which was great. The room was nice although the bathroom was a bit dated including a shower that it was difficult to use because it soaked the floor. The food was very good although service was slow. The artwork on the walls of the hotel was fabulous. The wine was also excllent and we got an Easter egg in our room. Overally, there were many things that were 10+ but a few things that let the hotel down hence my rating as very good but not outstanding.

Disappointed that the pool was not available on neither the Saturday nor Sunday. But the staff were great finding us the alternative facilities at Donnington Valley on the Sunday where the staff were equally helpful.

TV kept switching itself off The blind pull chain collapsed Breakfast was an expensive extra for what you got although the food and presentation was excellent

Spa area was a little dated, pool nice although fairly small. Nice room, large enough and a small balcony. Gives a sense of up market vacation

Nothing really - all areas of my stay were of a high standard.

Very comfortable with tasteful decor. I particularly enjoyed the original artwork. The staff are unfailingly very friendly, helpful and efficient. Room I had (the least expensive category) was still very spacious. Spa is excellent. Wine, as you would expect, is a highlight and the food very good.

Nothing really. The pool was a tad chilly but this is not surprising in this economic climate. Only other small point was we thought breakfast just a little too informal given the upmarket pitch of the place.

Extremely posh and so well appointed. We have only just skimmed the surface on how best to enjoy this lovely hotel.

The television in our room was a bit temperamental and we reported it when we left. Also the room was very hot and we couldn't manage to turn the heating down sufficiently. Also, for a 5* hotel I would have expected a better quality of toilet paper.

The hotel was very quiet as it was out of season so staff were very willing to help us. Our room was large, clean and well presented. We had dinner, breakfast and lunch in the restaurant. The food and service were excellent. We didn't use the spa but it looked very nice when we looked from the doorway. The hotel specialises in its wine and art collections. Neither of us drink very much but listening to the wine waiters talking they evidently know their stuff. We were more interested in looking at all the art/sculptures around the hotel.

Couple of items getting a little tired that need attention but otherwise spot on.

Great atmosphere, a warm welcoming hotel with excellent staff that looked after us. A hotel that had been on our radar for a long time and we eventually got round to visiting and it didn't disappoint. Our suite was comfortable and well appointed and the team kept us topped up with those incidentals you get through. The food was excellent including the hearty breakfast which was just perfect. The New Years Eve Gala event was superb, from the Champagne reception to the fireworks at midnight. Overall we had a fabulous stay and would recommend it.

My only suggestion for my suite was that the bathroom was ready for refurbishment .

Very polite and attentive staff. Quiet spacious room. Plenty of parking. Specialty tea and coffee in room.

Broken jacuzzi which meant all spa guest crowded into the rest of the facilities such as steam room and sauna. Not enough space and time to relax fully as a result.

Beautiful lovely food and great wine list as expected. Wonderful staff.

We had some issues with our drinks and food orders not coming out in the right order. But the food was so good, it made up for the confusion!

Bedroom too warm, unable to leave window/door open as on ground floor Very surprised at condition of the bathroom, quite tired and dated. Taps and pipes Very grubby looking due to extensive build up of limescale. I recommend Vikal , the taps would be sparkling if you used this. Also, the sink in my bathroom was cracked. For the cost of my room £770 for 3 nights I would expect a better standard

General relaxed feeling

The only reason I haven’t marked it as a romantic getaway is because it is quite conferency. It does that very well and I would be thrilled to attend a conference here too.

The staff were outstanding and the food excellent. This is a super place to stay and fully deserving of its five star rating.
