Excellent hotel in a brilliant location

We got moved to The Tower Hotel as the Barbican was closed , this was done without any extra expense to us. The hotel was fantastic and a good location

Sadly due to my reservation having been moved from one hotel to another, I did not get the benefit of breakfast being included in the price of my stay. This made me sad especially when I could smell it cooking on my way out each morning ;-) Seriously though, no complaints at all!

My original booking was transferred from Shoreditch to Holborn due to hotel closure. The price I paid did not change which was fantastic as I actually found Holborn to be far more suitable location wise than my original booking. This hotel was very easily accessible from London Kings Cross using the London Underground to Holborn Station. I later realized that Tottenham Ct Road station is also within a similar distance from the hotel. The Hotel itself was easy to find and was close to plenty of places to shop, eat and drink. The staff were friendly, approachable and very helpful. The room I stayed in was absolutely immaculate, clean, tidy and comfortable. Honestly hands down the best nights sleep I've had in ages and the bath and shower facilities was exceptional. 100% I would stay here again.

I was informed beforehand that the hotel was temporarily closed because of rising infections, so I was transferred to a hotel at Trafalgar Square. I was given a very warm welcome from the receptionist and check-in was quick and easy. Furthermore I was upgraded to a beautiful deluxe room at no extra charge. Thus, the location was amazing.?

The only negative would be the shower (over the bath) the water pressure was poor.

We were transferred to the Guoman Tower Hotel, so comments apply to this hotel, not the Thistle. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We were given an Exec Double room although we were told at check in it would be a suite, so slightly disappointed, but the lovely view over the marina certainly made up for that, plus extras in the room that we weren't expecting at our original hotel, like a free mini bar! Buffet breakfast was tasty, plentiful and hot (served by staff). Very clean and great location, several eateries close by and within easy reach of Tower Hill tube station.

Our room was a bit dusty - it didn't appear to have been cleaned recently due to a fine layer of dust - but I feel that is being picky! The only other slight grumble was that the coffee, tea, sugar and so on was not always replenished - but when we asked - it was provided. So again, a bit picky probably.

Given the challenges around Covid, our expectations were not high. However, we were extremely pleased with the location of the hotel and easy access to anywhere in London. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times, despite the pressures they were under - they went out of their way to help in every situation. Our room size and facilities within the room were good - no complaints at all - would definitely return.

We were upgraded from the thistle Barbican to the thistle Holborn , we were very happy with change we were given junior suites which were absolutely lovely.

Lifts in hotel were busy with queue sometimes.

Was relocated to The Tower Hotel, it was very nice and breakfast was good with plenty to choose from.

We were transferred to the Tower Hotel, absolutely perfect, our room was clean and spacious with a great view. Breakfast was great, staff were friendly. It will definitely be my preferred place to stay in London

The only downside was that we couldn't figure out how to work the heating/air con in either room. So, one room was super hot and the other room was super cold! Apart from that, everything else was perfect.

Unfortunately I can't rate their hotel in Shoreditch as we were moved to their partner hotel right next to Tower Bridge. Both rooms (once facing the marina, the other facing Tower Bridge!) were fabulous, with all the facilities you need. The location was fantiastice, fabulous customer service and a yummy breakfast in the morning.

Got moved to the tower hotel beside tower bridge and it was amazing. Great location, room lovely had a view of st Catherine’s dock and amazing staff and breakfast. We arrived on an early flight from Ireland and the staff member accommodated us with an early room without us even asking! Would definitely stay again.

It was a little bit out dated and the decor was strange.

We got moved from the thistle hotel to the tower hotel and we loved it! The staff were friendly and helpful, very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

the thistle hotel moved us last minute to the tower hotel a few miles away which was not a problem couldnt fault anything will be going again to the tower hotel in a few weeks

Message to say this hotel was not yet open so we were offered to stay in the tower hotel instead We accepted. The room we were given had a fabulous view of the Tower of London. Breakfast was also very nice .

Very old rooms, need freshen up for 4* also furniture so old and worse was carpets in room. So old n ugly..

Loved how staff were so friendly and do anything for u. Also everything was very clean and comfortable. Even loved fresh water everyday and change of towels if needed!

It was amazingly clean and the location was perfect with only minutes walk to Tower Hill. The view and the room was perfect over the river Thames.
