Rooms are a bit dated.

Conveniently situated just yards of the M6 so ideal for a stopover when travelling from Portsmouth to Scotland. Great value and good standard of restaurant and main reception/bar area.

Staff on reception not very friendly with the exception of one lady who I presume was the manager The price of Prosecco !!!!!!!

Our Room wasn’t clean /dirt on kettle/carpet not seen a hoover for Quite some time/ window broke/ drinks spilt up wall: toilet flush hardly Worked /room outdated - see other reviews Don’t accept cash ! Why? Only seem three staff members / no complaints but All three looked Fed up to be there

As You approach , it’s a really nice hotel /view of the river is great and reception /lounge are and restaurant are Really nice Was only £55 for Double room with view of the river

The outside of the building requires a very good clean up. Gave a first impression, things might not be to a good standard inside

Handy to M6. The room was nice. We had battered fish and chips for dinner, delicious. Wine a bit expensive. Staff very pleasant.

The room was a little bit dated and in need of an update, however I was offered an upgrade for £12 but declined as only there for one night. There was a used towel behind a chair which had been overlooked by cleaning staff. Food a little overpriced in restaurant.

A small pleasant hotel not far from the motorway so a good place to stop on route to Scotland. Standard family room with 2 beds. Clean and Comfortable. Nice hot water. I liked the restaurant, good food selection. Nice breakfast in morning.

Not really applicable. Although I did ask for a second pillow for my room but unfortunately this was not delivered but this did not impact on my overall stay.

Excellent. I asked for poached eggs on both mornings of my stay and on both mornings these were freshly prepared and splendid.

It has water problems so no running water until 9.30 the next day but they did advise on arrival and gave discount on stay

We paid £16 at Reception but the menu said cooked breakfast was £22. Back at the desk we were told it had covered a cooked breakfast which we missed out on. This is a confusing way to do things.

Breakfast, at £22 per person, was ridiculously expensive and for the two of us would have added 50% to the cost of our room! So we did not have breakfast at the hotel.

Room too hot and it was noisy, fans outside 246. No info in room. outside now very tired and needing lots of repairs. Bathroom door badly broken.

The tiles in the bathroom were very slippy. We didn’t have a kettle in the upgraded room, only a coffee machine and bottled water. As 2 non coffee drinkers the kettle and tea station would have been better.

We got upgraded due to a very loud noise coming from the radiators that could be heard from the reception desk. The room we were originally in was a little outdated but still nice and a big size, the room we were upgraded too was slightly more modern but still dated. However the bed was massive and very comfortable. The shower/bathroom was nice and big and the shower was a good strength.

There is a comfortable bar but they do not serve ANY bar snacks, crisps etc.

Position is good for breaking my journey and easy access together with secure parking. Rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is good.

Food generally ok but was a bit pricey for what it was. Ended up with a family room which was spacious. Beds comfortable however bathroom was very small not very clean. Grout dirty and sealant coming away. No USB charging sockets. Generally hotel beefs updating.

Location fantastic, easy to locate. Staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent
