I was walking and a bit of a trek uphill from Dartmouth Town centre but there is a bus.

A very homely, welcoming place to stay. My room was upgraded, giving me plenty of space and even a private outside area. Lovely owners and a good breakfast.

Can't fault it.

We arrived to a friendly greeting by the host who explained everything and upgraded our room as well. We got a stunning four poster room. Everything was clean and tidy and the bathroom was more than adequate. The bed was very comfy and slept well. The breakfast was very good as well with a choice of things to eat. It is on the top of a very steep hill, which didn't bother us at all, but it may bother some. It was nice and quiet and only the birds to wake us up in the morning. Overall was very impressed and delighted with our room. It is dog friendly too. I have no complaints whatsoever!

My experience staying at Townstal Farmhouse was nothing short of exceptional. My room in the 16th century building was comfortable and the English breakfast was delightful, every aspect of my stay was top-notch. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in the city.

The only slight disappointment was instant coffee at breakfast (the rest of which was excellent!)

Our room was very comfortable and clean, and the fresh milk in the room fridge was an excellent touch.

Net curtains need replacing, torn in several places. Bathroom towel rail didn’t get warm. Should have checked access as stairs were quite difficult for person with reathing difficulty, luckily the owner kindly carried my luggage up and down for me.

The hosts were very welcome , we parked our car and spent a great night in Dartmouth at the flavel centre. We sat in the comfortable lounge on our return with a tipple and chat ... The beds were very comfortable and breakfast great for the hungry men ...I'll go for the lighter version next time,!

Lovely room - spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Nice and quiet. Great to be able to use the lounge when family visited us on Friday evening. It felt like home from home.

A bit of a hill to main area if walking, but only 10 minutes into Dartmouth, worth the walk for the view, best get bus back, No 90, for two pounds, well worth it, stops just short of farmhouse, brilliant.

The place itself was oldy worldy, as you would expect, but very clean, lovely pleasant people, great breakfast menu, nice food to start the day.

The hosts couldn’t be friendlier and accommodating. Breakfast was yummy and efficient and we were a large group of 13 people so not easy to cope all at once for brekkie but they did brilliantly.

Our room wasn’t made up as we had asked but this was put right during the evening.

The position and age of the farmhouse was good. We asked for a quiet room and it was as quiet as it could be considering the closeness to a major road. My husband enjoyed the Full English breakfast every morning.
