Room was fabulous, bed was really comfy and slept really well. Bus stop right outside to take us into the centre. Breakfast was really good and loved the dining room set up and decor

Warm welcome and very accomodating as I had to leave earlier than breakfast start time. Kelvin was very polite and provided good customer service. Great value stay and and provision such as tea, coffee and iron. Shower room was clean. Overall a cosy feel.

Figuring out the hot water system in the shower. It seemed either too hot or too cold. It was a system we were not familiar with.

It was cozy and very clean. The young man who greeted us seemed to be the main caretaker. He was very helpful and friendly and made us an excellent English breakfast!

My Friends and I were very impressed with the host Carolina, and her attentiveness.we all agreed, it was the best budget hotel that we had ever stayed in.The place was spotless.Our room was very spacious with tea, coffee,bottles of water and even hot chocolate 😊 The Breakfast was delicious. An added bonus there is a bus stop right outside the hotel,the buses take you straight into the city centre and Train and bus stations,so no need to take cabs as they can be expensive. Another Bonus the dining area has MOD memorabilia For us this was the icing on the cake.we look forward to staying at the Tudor lodge hotel(soon to be Carnaby lodge hotel) again.

The room we had was at the back of the hotel, away from the main road, which was great. However, on the first night, we opened a small window just slightly for fresh air and belatedly realised that the main road traffic was quite constant and loud. But that only bothered the light sleeper. Leaving the premises proved to be a bit of a challenge as we needed to turn right across traffic. As the hotel entrance is near a cross roads with traffic lights and with the bus arriving at the bus stop just outside the hotel as we were leaving, it required a bit of patience to wait for that all important gap in traffic!

This small, 5-bed hotel was very convenient for our trip. Our welcome was warm and friendly. The ground floor en-suite room was nicely decorated, the bed comfortable, the bathroom clean, and the breakfasts done well. As the boiler/heating was being replaced, the room was kept warm with a standalone radiator for just the first night, but second night we didn't need it as the central heating was operational. We were attending an event 1.5 miles away, so did walk it the first day. Heavy rain stopped us doing that the second : )

There's not much to complain about, to be honest. There was a little noise coming from the street outside, but that's to be expected when situated on a main road.

Friendly staff and very attentive. The room was spotless. Tea, coffee, and hot chocolate facilties in the room. Ensuite was very clean, and the towels provided were practically brand new. We slept very well, the room was a comfortable temperature and the bed was cosy. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with both tea and fresh orange provided. Great value for money. We would definitely stay again.

Rather a noisy location on the main road, but that can’t really be helped! I’d taken ear plugs which helped. Perhaps a supply in the hotel for unaware travellers would help some?

Beautifully clean. Very comfortable. Excellent cooked breakfast with plenty of juice, tea/coffee and toast/jam available as well. Carol was very friendly and helpful - adjusting heating in our room to suit. She also took careful note of my child’s preferences for breakfast - no egg or mushrooms etc. Drink facilities in room also great with plenty of milk portions & even hot chocolate sachets for son - which he enjoyed! Fun posters/games in our room too.

If you struggle with noise maybe ask for a room at the back but to be honest, we got used to it and we slept well.

Room was clean & everything you needed in it. Host was friendly & helpful. We slept well despite the road being quite busy. The breakfast was really good but check out the options in the room list otherwise you will end up with everything and it's a lot!!

Busy road so traffic noise (but it’s consistent so you get used to it). Host is planning glazing to help with this. Quite a bit of light from the street (comes through the curtains).

Friendly staff. Accommodated an early check in so I could park my car. Brilliant cooked breakfast. Bus stop directly outside the hotel. Frequent service to city centre. Smart TV with streaming channels too (e.g. Netflix). Spotlessly clean.
