Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Really lovely room with all you need. Gareth and Tina are magnificent hosts and couldn't do enough. Lots of recommendations of where to go which were taken up. We didn't actually want to leave and stayed an extra night. Breakfast was great with lots of choice and cooked to order. We'll be back!

The house was spotless, beautifully maintained and very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the host gave us excellent recommendations that made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area!

No chance to NOT like a single thing!
What an amazing stay, we simply loved every minute of it! Perfect base for the most beautiful beaches and hikes in Pembrokeshire, the room was so beautiful and comfortable, our host the best in the world and Tina's breakfast is to die for!!! Don't look any further, you won't find a better place!

We came to Ty Melin to relax and unwind but left with so much more than just that! Gareth and Tina are exceptional hosts who made us feel very special from the minute we arrived. Their hospitality and care has left us feeling inspired and recharged on our journey back home to the everyday :) The room had everything we needed and the breakfast choice and quality is fantastic. We’re so pleased to have found this gem and look forward to returning in the future!

The room was beautiful, and the spa bath was perfect for relaxing after the long walk along the coast. The hostes were very welcoming and gave us some great advice on where to explore the local area. The breakfast was beautiful and a great way to start the day.

Great hosts, friendly and hospitable. Very comfortable accommodation, easy to relax - home away from home. Delicious breakfast each morning. I travel often to the area - this is one of the best places to stay in Pembroke.

Gareth and Tina share a beautiful home with guests, welcoming each one as though your old friends. Their home is clean, tidy and peaceful in atmosphere. Gareth & Tina are bright, enthusiastic and lovely friendly people.

Nothing at all.
The hosts, Gareth and Tina were very welcoming and knowledgeable helping us in relation to sites to see in the surrounding area. The local pub is walking distance which is so popular we could not get a booking for the Saturday night, so book early. Breakfast as provided was lovely with plenty of choices being freshly cooked and enough to keep us going. Should we be in the vicinity again, we would rebook.

Fab b&b Gareth & Tina were so lovely and very welcoming. Couldn't do enough for us. Room was lovely an comfortable and quiet despite the local pub across the way. Breakfast was exceptional. Quiet little village and definetly stay again if where down that way . Thankyou Gareth & Tina

Having to leave.
What a wonderful place to stay. Gareth and Tina welcomed us into their home and into their hearts. We couldn't have felt more at home. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated and with a lovely little welcome gift. The bath was even big enough for my ex rugby player husband. The bed was comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice. You must try Tina's special, eggs royale. Both Gareth and Tina were full of useful information about places to visit and to eat. Gareth was a mine of interesting stories and kept us entertained. We didn't want to leave. You will be warmly welcomed in this lovely b and b.
