    Cheap but cozy hostel

More tables are needed in a shared room.

Cozy and pleasant hostel by the sea, close to the city center. It's cheap accommodation in a lovely but expensive city.

    Can't think of anything

Shared room for 4 was still quite cosy, one room with two twin beds, another annex with two bunk beds, gave some privacy to both parts. Shared bathroom was very clean with free shampoo/conditioner and hand soap. Towels provided. Location is amazing!!! Steps from the beach, 30 min walk from train station. Great position between Brighton and Hove, some affordable restaurants around the corner on Western Rd. Great service on the desk. Fine to leave your luggage before checking in/after check out. The other guests are mainly 30-40s, professional type, many there for co-working. Not a party hostel, for the better. Bunk beds were large enough for me (6'6")

Someone did scan a card and open our door obviously assuming the room was empty - not sure whether it was staff/housekeeping or another customer who accidentally received the wrong key to the wrong room haha. This was the only little problem really but other than that the stay was brilliant.

While we did have clean towels, the previous guests' dirty towels were still hanging on the back of the bathroom door. The bathroom in general (sink in particular) could have done with a deeper clean (if I were to be really picky). A couple of light bulbs also needed replacing so it was quite dark. But all in all it was very good value for money.

The people were friendly and checking in/out was quick and efficient. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. The design was also very nice - it feels well thought out and has a nice vibe.

The other guests were very noisy going up and down the corridors and the corridors smelt of smoke - whilst we had a good stay it was perhaps a little overpriced.

Large room. Comfortable bed, good black out curtains. Based right by the beach with lovely view of the old pier. Check in was really easy and staff were really friendly. The hotel has a lovely design.

The bathrooms are very dated and not comfortable and let down the general vibe of the hotel. Also they never cleaned our room.

Really perfect location, super friendly staff. Room with a view was very cute.

My one complaint is that the bunk beds don't come with a reading light, plug or small shelf; which is very inconvenient.

Very friendly and helpful staff, well appointed and comfortable room, a great location; the coworking room was very useful and nicely laid out, the shower was good and beds come with towels, which is convenient.

The facilities were not great, the breakfast was just decent but it had nothing special, and there was no common space to spend some time or chill in there.

The location is really nice, just in front of the promenade, near the i360 and a 10’ walk from the pier.

Not keen on the shabby chic theme. The outside bottom half of the Hotel needs painting. No dressing table or bedside drawers

Located in a perfect position. Close to beach restaurants and the lanes. Beautiful view from our room. Allowed dogs. Staff helpful

The only thing would be the noise of Bin men with their rubbish, this was very loud while being on the ground floor and kept us awake very early in the morning.

Communal staircase is a little tired but overall I'd say still a very good value option. Would have liked a blanket for the room.

I loved the sea view. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The room was tastefully decorated, clean and lots of space to store bags and hang clothes etc. The staff were super friendly and stored my bags for me. While some reveiews so no tea in rooms I did have a kettle in mine. They had drinking water, tea and coffee in the lobby and toiletry items for sale so really you have everything you need. I think this is a much less wasteful approach than leaving toiletries and hot drinks in rooms. I really enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

Roommates cleanliness was lacking, which is not the hostel’s fault but annoying nonetheless.

Breakfast was great and a good size for the he price. It was a bit unfortunate that the restaurant was under construction and there was no kitchen to use either. The room was great, free towels, shampoo etc included so that was great.

Assistance or advice on nearby car parking would have been useful. Unable to open the windows when it got overly hot during the night. Understand previous guest reviews using 'run down' or 'shabby', but the pluses outweighed these and the price matched our expectations.

We knew that facilities in the rooms would be 'basic', but this was clearly stated when we booked. We didn't need a kettle or tv to enjoy our stay. The provision of USB charging points was welcomed and very useful. Great seafront location and friendly staff
