The music outside was playing quite late, even though there was no one outside the whole evening and it kept us awake. Also the bathroom door only closed properly if you locked it as the bolt held the door in place. There was only 1 vegetarian main course option on the menu, it was overcooked and bland. Plenty of lovely choices for meat eaters - no good for vegetarians. When we checked out no-one asked us if we had enjoyed our stay, or indeed for any feedback.

Just an overnight stay and arrived quite late. The lady at the desk was really welcoming and helpful. Excellent continental breakfast with lovely fresh fruit. Very happy with my short stay.

Some of the room's decor facilities are in need of repair/updating. Bedroom furniture had some unsightly marks on them. The shower head in the bathroom was broken along with missing tiles outside shower and badly chipped radiator.

The location is lovely. Staff were very helpful and lovely cozy fire in the bar/lounge area.

Room was up in the rafters with three head risks to get to the room. Overall we paid more than it is worth.

Real pub in the country feel. Food was good and you pay a fair price for it.

Had to make a complaint however as the music from the party downstairs was ridiculously loud when we went to bed at 11pm & was only turned off after midnight. 😫 traffic noise then woke us up at 7am so not a great nights sleep.

No criticism of the venue. However the attitude of some members of the staff was disappointing to say the least. At the reception desk , my eighty year old husband was told he had to carry his luggage up three flights of stairs and furthermore there was no lift and no offer of help. We were also asked to leave bank card details in case we caused any damage!! Not a situation we have ever experienced or would want to again A great shame.

Three flights of fairly steep stairs to our room, no bath mat in the shower cubicle, only one chair in the room and the TV remote did not work, having switched on it would not change programmes nor switch off. It had to be switched off at the power socket.

The Staff, Food an extremely comfortable bed. It was an excellent meeting place for family members from different parts of the country.

WE left early as was there for Iron man so had to leave at 5 am. The staff were really accommodating with us making a quick exit - all organised the evening before for 3 rooms.

Door locks were difficult as lock barrel was worn. No table for making drinks. Toilet flush was difficult due to being slightly broken.

Lack of signage as to where the reception was located as it was not clear it was via the restaurant. There was also no instruction given as to where to go for breakfast, timings etc., we were not the only guests wandering round confused. There was no information provided for access to Wi-Fi etc.

It was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, the staff were very polite. There was a good choice for the breakfast menu. The room was lovely and spacious. There was a picnic basket with a kettle, biscuits, various teas & coffees provided.
