Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomVery friendly quirky environment. We sat on the terrace over looking the river. Beautiful location. Very well maintained establishment. There was WW11 memorial on for the day which made the stay fun.

United KingdomParking was an issue. Not so much where the car park was but the fact that we had to go back to the car park before breakfast to purchase a day ticket. The walk was very pleasant though. The local council would do well in investing in a parking app so that the ticket can be purchased/extended without having to walk to the car park. Of course, this is no fault of the B&B who were good in explaining about the car park.
A lovely B&B just across the road from the river. We had a smooth check in and shown to our rooms. My case was carried up the stairs for me as there is no lift. We were made to feel welcome. We ate in the restaurant that evening and the food was excellent. Perfectly cooked and hot! Speciality teas were provided in the rooms as requested and with no extra charge. Room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfy. All in all a very pleasant stay.

United KingdomWe were happy with everything
The staff were wonderful and very accommodating as we were allowed into our room earlier than usual. The room was clean, comfortable, warm and facing the bridge, which was lovely. Breakfast was magnificent, we had the full breakfast along with toast, butter and jam and also yoghurt, orange juice and a pot of tea. We were full for the rest of the day. The day before we had Sunday lunch at the White Hart, which was also delicious. Every table was full of customers, which is always a good sign. We will definitely return to Ironbridge and stay at the White Hart again and also recommend it to family and friends.

United KingdomThe size of the room was great. Very roomy, with big separate bath/shower. The staff were very helpful and catered to my needs. I found the lady that took the breakfast orders was great, nothing was too much trouble!

United KingdomWe regretted not staying longer! We would have liked to further explore the excellent menu! Otherwise there was nothing not to like about the White Hart!
The food was excellent. The evening meal was worthy of a Michelin star, and the breakfast was very good too. The waitresses at breakfast time were very obliging and attentive. We can thoroughly recommend the scrambled egg and bacon! We left the car in the long stay carpark across the bridge and it cost very little.

United KingdomThe room headboard needs changing as it's worn. They could easily fit in a larger walk-in shower... It's a massive bathroom but with a tiny shower!... There was only the choice of an English breakfast to order for hot food, so we did but it took 45 minutes to arrive!... The waitress was lovely and outstanding and brought us toast straight away after ordering which we ate most of as we were starving while waiting so long lol... The rest of the toast was obviously cold by the time the food arrived... There's also a table with cereals and tubs of yogurts that looks a bit sad to be honest and it needs better presentation and far more choice of continental type foods on the table... When the English breakfast finally arrived, the fried egg was tiny and very overdone and hard... The beans watery and tasteless and very few mushrooms on... The rest was nice and the bacon outstanding but the plate was a very small portion in general... The restaurant was only a quarter full, if that, so I'm amazed it took 45 minutes and with the tomato undercooked and the egg overcooked when it took so long to prepare!
Outstanding location, very clean room, very large bathroom... In general, a nice pub and hotel with great staff... It's not perfect but it was fairly reasonable priced and would recommend for the price.

United KingdomLack of parking and although we were advised parking in the bays on the road would be ok overnight from 5pm until approx 11am as this time of year it’s not busy and no one checks ! However this is not true and we received a parking ticket- I would suggest the staff do not advise on this parking arrangement !
Convenient location - excellent food and restaurant area. Good wine & beer.

United KingdomThe hotel was in a great location approx. 50 yards from the bridge. We paid for the budget room (4) which included a full English breakfast which was excellent. The room was basic but had an en-suite bathroom with a good shower, it was clean and tidy and met our needs for a 1-night stay. We also had an evening meal at the hotel and the food was very good. All staff were friendly and accommodating, particular the lady who served us our breakfast in the morning, she was very helpful and provided a very good level of service. All in all a very nice stay.
