Expensive, restaurant wouldn’t take food orders even though they was really quiet. Extra pay for parking which should be included in the already high price tag

Our room was tiny but we were able to take the dog with us. Room was very well cleaned. I could hear someone coughing all night and they had their tv on all night. However that wasn't the hotels fault. All the staff I met were lovely and helpful.

Rooms throughout inc dining room were a bit tired looking . A bit of gloss paint required in dining room. Parking spaces limited and not much room to manoeuvre.

Our room was chilly even though the radiators were on so had a warm bath. We couldn't open the drawers in our room which had the hairdryer in. Luckily I packed my own hairdryer at the very last minute from home.

I liked the view from our room window., Carparking was good value compared to some other hotel parking.

The beds felt smaller than a double and were too small for the two of us. The walls must be thin because we could hear one person talking from another room all night. £6 parking.

The location is ideal. Good value for money. Nice atmosphere at breakfast. Cosy room. Nice staff.

Room was very warm even with the window open. Parking was extra to be paid even though we had paid to stay in the hotel so would have expected this to include the parking.

The room was standard but everything I expected and was comfortable. The shower was lovely and hot and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good and enjoyable and not expensive. Staff friendly and willing to help.

Paying for parking at the hotel £6 per night, I feel the cost of stay should more than cover parking, and i recommend driving to the lake as it is too far to walk

Nice spot small rooms but comfortable could do with updating liked the orrock bar nice atmosphere food was great

£6 per night for parking seemed a bit steep. However, I guess there is a parking problem in the whole town in the summer!

The Windermere Hotel was great. Good location for the town and surrounding area. Warm, comfortable bed, clean. Having the Orrest bar next door was excellent.

Tv cable was over stretched so was damaged a bit. Therefore the TV would glitch and I had to fiddle with the cable to get a clear image and sound.

You had to book everything breakfast and lunch and couldn’t just walk Into the bar as and when you wanted on the premises you had to go down to the bar next door. Shame to not be able to use the bar down stairs when you’ve paid a lot to stay.

Very central location which we appreciated. Just 3 minutes walk from the station but you already see it once you’re out of the station road as it is on top of a hill. It’s also right beside the Orrest Head hike trail, which was convenient for us as we hiked the trail right before our departure. Bathrooms were very clean!

Breakfast staff could have been friendlier, especially as we were well within the time (though they made it seem like we were late). One lady serving was very nice, but the two men were less friendly

Bedroom was clean and very spacious. Very comfortable bed and a good bathroom too.

The hotel is at the top of a hill and looks amazing from the outside- inside its dated and unclean The bedroom we stayed in was dusty and the bathroom was unclean with marks on the tiles the door had grime all around the handle - carpet was dirty However we had plenty of clean white fluffy towels and the bed linen was spotless The beds were comfortable It just needed a lick of paint and a deep clean

Location was amazing Perfect to park up and catch the £2 hop on bus to different parts of the lakes Breakfast in the hotel was lovely good choice
