When checking out and settling the bill there was a £50 decrepancy which I had to sort out..

Clean, central so easy to visit towns around the coastline, staff all pleasant, food and drinks good although a bit pricey

Small detail about the room, no mini fridge. Even empty, I like having the option to keep my own drinks cold. Electric car charging, skip if irrelevant: As much as the staff makes it clear the electric car charger is independent from the hotel, I think it's service reflects on the hotel and would influence my decision to book there as an EV owner. I had a few issues with it. The cables are extremely short, I had to park outside of the painted lines to be able to plug in my car (charging port is back passenger side). And even though there's 2 parking bay chances are it'll be impossible for 2 cars to charge at the same time. I physically couldn't reach my port if I parked in the second bay. The type 2 charger failed twice and charge my bank twice, 3 days later I'm still waiting on the pending transactions to cancel. The CCS charger worked a treat with decent speed.

Spacious room with really nice bathroom. The breakfast is incredible. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. And the village is charming. There's a 50kW electric car charger in the carpark.

Some of the bedrooms were a little cold for some of our party. My room was fine though. The plug hole in the bath made a weird gurgling sound! But it’s an old building so probably can’t be helped. Some bedroom/bathroom renovation in the future could improve it but it wouldn’t put me off returning.

The staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming! The food in the brasserie was absolutely delicious and of excellent quality. It was a great choice for us as a group of friends as we were able to have the privacy of our own rooms but meet up in the communal areas. Additionally the generously sized bedrooms were a perfect meeting space for us too!

A lift for people my age! Better directions to some rooms - I got lost twice looking for the right room.

Nothing. The decor in the room and corridors is a little tired.

We had a lovely view of Wolf Hill from the bedroom and enjoyed walking down to the river during a break in the rain! The room was comfortable with a big bathroom. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was very good.

When we arrived, there was a large (and loud) wedding happening at the hotel, and we could hear the music way up in our room. We wish we had known, as this meant that we couldn't use the jacuzzi etc.

Really lovely and helpful staff throughout - from front desk, to bar and restaurant. They were really welcoming, and on hand to help with anything. The chef clearly takes a lot of pride in the food the kitchen produces, and we were surprised to find such great food at our hotel!

The food and drink is perhaps a little pricey.

Superb property , excellently decorated and presented, the bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a very good en suite. Plenty of fresh fluffy towels and pillows.The bistro restaurant was very upto date and furnished well giving a really good ambience. The food was also well cooked and presented.
