Everything was great . To get total 100% ? A bottle of spring water and soya “milk” capsules in the room would do that!

Really good attention to detail…Warm, clean , comfortable room with really good quality bedding, way above average tea and coffee bags in the room, good toiletries and powerful shower , plus impressive veggie breakfast.

The only one downfall which let the place down was there was a broken gutter and unfortunately it rained that night so we could hear a tapping as rain built up was hitting the window seal but other than that it was perfect.

I loved the location as it was situated down a quiet backroad just 10min from the town center. The menu was everything we wanted with loads of starters and nibbles which we love and the service was outstanding. A lovely quiet cosy pub/restaurant/hotel which was exactly what we was looking for, for a nice little getaway. Would definitely stay there again if in the area again.

Misinformation: it's advertised and also printed on the menu that Breakfast is complimentary to ALL hotel guests. That was confirmed in my booking email and the message. On arrival, though, I was told by the member of staff that I don't get free breakfast because of the lower price I paid for the room, but I can have one if I pay for it. The owner blamed it on Booking.com I was offered free breakfast at the end and it was very good.

Location, accommodation, quiet room, parking, nice place to stay.

The information stated on the website with regards to opening times for the restaurant are subject to change, especially without either notice or subject to availability so don't rely upon it. My en suit didn't have a slip mat even though it clearly states that floor gets wet & can be slippery. There is no water provided in the room & the water in the bathroom isn't approved as drinkable. You may want to check that you have sufficient milk for the tea & coffee provided as it appears to be in short supply.

Chilham is a lovely place to visit it has all the charm & character of a historical English village. The Wool pack Inn is located just a short stroll from the village & a stones throw away from the train station. The pub & restaurant provide a selection of food & drink suitable for the average traveller & the rooms available are more than adequate for a few nights stay.

The bathroom could do with a little refreshing, but the owner said this was scheduled. Then it will be perfect. Breakfast was disappointing in comparison to an excellent dinner. I couldn't eat the sausage as it was so overcooked, and the bacon was very fatty.

The pub was looking beautiful and so well decorated for Christmas. The meal was lovely, and my room (18 - across the road) was warm and comfortable with a fabulous big bed. The owner was welcoming and the waitress superb. Thank you, and I will definitely return.

Very lovely, comfortable and cozy pub hotel in a quaint village with the Wye valley on its doorstop

The bathroom was very small, some people will really struggle with the size of the shower (though it is nice and hot). We ate in the pub in the evening and, though the food was good, we found the service as a bit inadequate. I have fed this back directly to the hotel but I think the staff members in the pub, though friendly and willing, could do with a bit more training. We got poured the wrong drinks, our meals came without sides etc! This is a very minor point, which is probably to do with the fact that the pub was renovated a couple of months back and lots of the staff are likely new.

The room was nice and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent (as was the lady serving it) and the village location is lovely. The food in the pub is extremely good too and the staff are helpful. It was my husband's birthday and he was given a surprise pudding which was very thoughtful.

Location and how clean it was. Like the selection of teas and toiletries.

We were told renovations would be done by the time we came to stay but they weren't. We went to check in and felt really out of place on what was essentially a construction site. The new owner apologised and showed us to our room but kept emphasising all the ways in which it didn't meet her standards ("we scrubbed and scrubbed", "it's very dated") and how the rooms would be better once refurbished (not much use to us!). Honestly the room was fine but it did put us off from the get go. The main downside of the room: thin walls/ceilings so we could really hear upstairs, the water pipes in the shower were exposed and burnt my hand on one of them. Because of the renovations, we didn't have a cooked breakfast at the Inn, just small bits in our room. We were told we could get breakfast at the tea room in the village but that was closed for a whole week too. We know they were doing their best given their renovation works had overrun, but maybe don't have customers until it's done? Paying over £100 in those circumstances felt a bit much.

The room was simple but comfortable and we had a good night of sleep. The village is very quaint and we had a lovely pub dinner at The White Horse. The bathroom was small but had good water pressure and warm.

Bearing in mind the above comment, there was nothing we disliked - in fact the informality that prevailed was absolutely to our liking.

Having not received the notification that The Woolpack had changed ownership a month ago & the new owners had embarked on a major internal revamp of the hotel therefore there was no breakfast provided nor restaurant dining available in evening, we were still warmly welcomed, given an upgrade of our room & a downward adjustment of the tariff. Despite their exhaustion the hosts still provided bar services to us & loyal local patrons.

Anyone with asthma just needs to be aware....The building and accommodation is extremely old and although the decor and cleanliness couldn't be faulted, the room we stayed in smelt 'old building' and of damp in the air (note that nothing was visible anywhere). It's just one of those things but my wife awoke the next day and had difficulty breathing for a while until we'd been out of the room (15) for some time. I and our daughter were absolutely fine.

Family room with separate bedroom for our daughter with small 'lounge' between the two. We were only staying one night to attend a family funeral but the location and village are very pretty indeed and would have liked more time to explore. We also returned just a few minutes after food service but the staff were very accommodating and the chef kindly stayed a little longer than usual to sort out meals for us. The choices for breakfast were great and to have that included as part of the rate was a plus.

WiFi was okay but not great signal. the lock on the bathroom was too stiff for the 11 year old kids to manage & one of them nearly got stuck in the bathroom.

Really nice property with a room big enough for 5 of us with plenty of space, massive emperor bed and very comfortable sleep . Lovely breakfast. Close to dover and Folkestone. 15 mins drive to plenty of restaurants and shops. Parking was okay even with roof box and bike carrier. Will be our 1st pick if staying around the area again
