Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBreakfast only from 8am to 9am which is not great and not mentioned to us before arrival on site. Room was not 100% clean as we had crumbs on the floor. Not enough plugs in the twin room as all taken by alarm clock, kettle,TV and side bedlamp(which was not working). Overrated price and not a 3 star hotel.
Superb location near the castle and not far from the race we were doing on Saturday. Breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. They served us a quick breakfast before the race as the opening hours were limited. Welcome was great too.

United KingdomOur room was at the top of the building, up several flights of very narrow stairs, difficult to carry up a suitcase. The weather was very hot, the room did have a an electric fan, but was hot and airless. Also evening meals were fine but nothing special. Sunday evening was roast pork, just a couple of slices of pork, no crackling, no roast potatoes. Adequate but not a typical Sunday roast.
Excellent breakfast. Good choice of cereal, items for cooked breakfast, toast, marmalade etc. In fact everything you could want in a full English breakfast.

United KingdomIt was very dated. There wasn’t a bar as such and we changed rooms after the first night as the bed was so uncomfortable and on a slant. The outdoor seating area seemed very neglected
The location was lovely and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly Our stay was overall good I just feel that it needs a good overhaul

United KingdomThe condition of the hotel. The rooms are in a horrendous condition. The decor is dated, the bathroom was stinking, the floor of the bathroom was almost coming off, the window panes were dirty, the bed was uncomfortable . Definitely not worth the price we paid for 2 nights.
The location and staff are excellent! Very friendly helpful.

United KingdomThe only issue we could have faced was parking outside the hotel, which is very limited, but fortunately we found spaces for both evenings. There is a pay and display car park a few minutes walk away.
A very good location and very dog friendly. It was good to be able to have meals with the dog in a separate room from the main restaurant. The meals were good with more choice than we had expected for a half board option. The staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomBath water , as it was so busy the hot water was under duress ! Taps ready for a replacement I think. Some of the public areas are a little dated but it was comfortable everywhere and enough space to remain Covid clear.
Character, dog friendly, lovely light filled bedrooms, staff did really well considering how busy it was on a sunny bank holiday straight out of lockdown! Food was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, we were fortunate to get a a “superior room”. We had a lovely outlook, nice lot of space, lots of storage for clothes., somewhere to sit, and as much tea and coffee and biscuits as you wanted.

United KingdomPaying £660 for 3 nights stay with no room cleaning done at all, plastic/paper cups in the room & bathroom (COVID protection supposedly) and no available parking nearby, unless you were lucky. Plus painting and decorating being done on all 3 days we were there.
Staff were all very friendly and hardworking. Food generally was a high standard and lots of it. Breakfast was ok but due to being the only couple in the hotel we did not receive a full cooked breakfast as expected - limited to tinned tomatoes, although fresh tomatoes were on the menu, and no effort made to supply them.
