Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Both bedrooms noisy, as you would expect in a city with no double glazing. Back bedroom has a boiler in it which switches on and off.

Ideal location to explore the city. Within walking distance of the centre and top sights. Very spacious apartment in a grand old building. The staff were helpful and good communication. Nice modern bathroom. Would recommend. Perfect for a family or larger groups

Only small complaint, but the door of the twin room (apt 4) is really, really squeaky. Friend in room below likened it to a banshee. Woke them and my roommate/me up anytime it was opened, so we just had to leave it wedged open. Some WD40 would be good!
Really nice apartment. Spacious rooms. All facilities you'd need. Exactly as pictured. Comfortable beds. Bag store really handy (although wide open when we came back to collect our bags - we'd checked it was secure when we closed it). Be prepared for the stairs! We did know in advance, thankfully! Gorgeous views.

Minor compared to the pros, but since the building was quite old, there was almost no soundproofing.
Very good location, beautiful building and apartment, with a magnificent view until the sea. Spacious, and clean. Since we visited off season the price was good as well.

The main issue for us was the apartment (Flat 4) was at the very top of this Georgian building. It was mentioned in the description that this flat had 6 flights of stairs, however we counted 9 flights. My elderly sister (just shy of 70) had to stop halfway up and take a puff of her inhaler. Even my niece in her early 30's and regular gym user, struggled with the stairs. There was no lift but this was stated in the description. However on the plus side the view from apartment was fantastic!
The apartment was in a great location, shops, transport. restaurants, bars and local attractions all within walking distance. Very spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with all that you need to cook basic meals. Our apartment was located at the rear of the building so couldn't hear the traffic noise from busy road at front of building.

Nothing that I can think of!
Property was clean and spacious enough for our group. It was close to many of the sights we wanted to see. The hosts were responsive when we requested more blankets and even brought us more toilet paper seven though it was our responsibility to purchase more.

I found the hair dryer our second day there by accident. It was in the smaller bedroom night stand instead of the bathroom. Shampoo and soap would have added to the luxury. These details are minor, however, as the apartment was over- the-top divine!
We walked in and our jaws dropped. "Oh my God, Mom. Just look at this place!" Luxurious. Home. Comfortable. Well-appointed. Super acommodating. Spoiled. Exquisite views. First class communications with the property.

The four people in one room thing, with that being the best queen bed, was a bit random and wouldn’t suit a lot of families.

Quibbles, but for a premium property I would have expected toiletries and a coffee pod machine etc
Location is outstanding. Soooo much space. Luggage locker really helped as we got in quite early. Allowed an early check in which was also really appreciated

We were a little suprised that there were not washclothes in the apartment nor any handsoap or body wash. We usually find that in the places we stay, especially at this price point.
Very Spacious and clean. convenient location to the train station. Convenient to public transportation.
