How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewThe lady owner is very kind and sincere to make you a comfortable stay in her B&B, there is a sizeable communal area outside our room which we only found on the day we leave this B&B. The owners know little English, with phone translator, we can still communicate very well, the owners are doing everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The portion of the breakfast is very large, we enjoy it very much.
There is power suspension during our stay, the owners are very efficiently power up by their own electrical generator, this is very impressive. They do everything to make our stay comfortable.

Verified reviewTop experience with lovely Georgian couple! We were arriving late and messaged that day asking if dinner was possible. Our sweet hosts agreed and had a home cooked meal waiting for us along with chacha. It was a little cold in the room so they sorted heat right away. Everything was impeccably clean. Quite night. The next morning they gave us a wonderful tour of their home and property followed by a thoughtful breakfast. They even gave us fruit preserves and Georgian wine to take on our journey :) If you’re looking for an authentic Georgian home stay, and incredibly caring hosts, highly recommend. It was an experience we will never forget!
The little things don’t matter when you have such a beautiful interaction! English was very limited but google translate make conversations work. The room is a simple space with two single beds (very firm mattress). WiFi was spotty but the reason to be there is the experience anyways.

Verified reviewOne of the best stays that we had in Georgia. Aunt Sveta was a sweetheart and the best host we have ever had. She welcomed us with some home made dinner which was not a part of our package. They really made us feel at home with their warmth and love. Our daughter loved the place as there were many pets for her to play. She felt like she had a visit to her grandparents house. Highly recommended and a must visit when in Kutaisi.
Nothing.

Sveta is a lovely woman who cooks an amazing breakfast staying here is truly staying in a village in Georgia, and you will experience the culture! We loved it & would recommend it to anyone. Beds were comfortable & room was clean, spacious & air conditioned!
Nothing- was perfect. if you want a five star experience, a village in Georgia is probably not where you want to be - but if you want an authentic slice of life-this is the town AND the guest house! Thank you again!

Verified reviewEverything was perfect. Sveta and David are very kind hosts. Food was delicious. There are lot of animals in the ourt, so this place is also perfect if you travel with kids. We highly recommend to eat dinner: everything was freshly prepared by Sveta with own growned ingredients and really cheap for this quality and quantity. David also let us try his own maked wine and chacha. I would return to this place if again in this area.

Verified reviewWe had a very nice stay. The hosts were lovely kind people and incredibly hospitable. Also the breakfasts were amazing, with a lot of homemade food. If you speak Russian the hosts can tell you a lot of interesting things about Martvili and the surrounding area. If we come back to Martvili we will definitely stay here again!

Verified reviewI had the most wonderful stay at this guesthouse, and I can’t thank Sveta and her husband enough for their incredible hospitality. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were part of their family. What stood out the most was the way they cared for us. Sveta’s breakfasts were a true delight, made from the freshest ingredients sourced from their own garden. The fruit and vegetables were bursting with flavor, and the cheese she made herself was simply divine. Her homemade pastries were a special treat, and there was always something delicious to snack on, along with her homemade wine and sweets. On one memorable evening, we ended up chatting until midnight. When we mentioned an early bus trip the next morning, Sveta went out of her way and baked sweet pastries for our 7:00 AM breakfast. This level of thoughtfulness was truly touching. Sveta and her husband are some of the kindest, most selfless people I’ve ever met. Their warmth and generosity made it clear that this was more than just a business for them. Sveta’s husband was equally delightful, sharing his homemade cognac and providing assistance in finding the right bus connections. The opportunity to play with their dog and rabbits added an extra layer of joy to our stay. Sveta even offered to do our laundry, hanging it out with the same care and attention that defined their every gesture. Their garden was a beautiful oasis that enhanced the whole experience. Thank you, Sveta and family, for making our stay unforgettable. Your kindness and warmth will always stay with us. This guesthouse is a true gem and anyone who stays here is in for a treat beyond words.

Verified reviewWe had a fantastic one-night stay at Sveta's home in Martvili. The room was comfortable, and the location was perfect, just a short walk from the city center. Sveta kindly offered us dinner upon our late arrival, but since we weren't very hungry, we decided to enjoy the excellent local wine instead. The next morning, Sveta prepared a delicious breakfast using a variety of organic products from her garden. The flavors were amazing, and we loved the fresh ingredients! Sveta also took the time to show us her garden and introduce us to her adorable animals. It was a charming experience! Overall, our stay at Sveta's home was delightful. The comfortable room, delicious breakfast, and Sveta's warm hospitality made our visit truly memorable. Highly recommended!
