Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South KoreaThe host is truly kind and welcoming. The house is cozy and has a warm atmosphere. The meals she prepares are delicious and made with care — I highly recommend requesting them. The view from the room was absolutely beautiful. Although it’s a bit away from the city center, it’s only about a 10-minute walk, so it’s no issue at all. There are both old and new buildings, so you can choose based on your preference. I’m very grateful for the warm hospitality and the host’s constant kindness.

United Arab EmiratesThe rooms walls are very thin without sound proof materials.
The location is next to the main road but at the same time has a good view of the chruch, village, and surrounding nature. It is just 5 minutes far from the old village and the chruch. The house yard is beautiful, the kids enjoyed playing with 2 lovely dogs and cats and kittens. The house has cows, pigs, horse, and a truck dates back to second world war (I believe) The owner speaks English very well and shared with us interesting facts about Ushguli. Upon checking in, I wonder if a room with a church view was available, Angelina helped fixing the new bed and mattress for us to satisfy our request. The breakfast was tasty and made from local ingredients. The house was full with many family members from different age groups working together to preapre the new guest house bulding.

GeorgiaHere is your translated text in English: The staff is very attentive. The price is quite reasonable compared to other hotels. I really liked the cleanliness of the rooms and the bathroom. As for the breakfast — it was delicious and quite diverse for the price. The view of the mountains from the room is absolutely beautiful. In short, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Angelina. Let me know if you'd like a more formal version or if it's for a specific platform (like Booking.com or TripAdvisor).

LatviaWhen I travel, my goal is to feel the soul of a land, a people, a culture. Not from the perspective of luxury but rather reality. This is exactly what I received at Angelina’s guesthouse: an honest sliver into the life of a Svan family. I chose to stay here after watching the film “Dede” (highly recommend, ask them about it!) If you are seeking a less-touristic experience, stay here. Ask questions. If you’re lucky, you might just get to taste homemade kubdari, famous Svaneti potatoes, or rare jams! Angelina speaks English flawlessly, so she will go out of her way to help you plan the perfect journey. Thank you, Shorena and Angelina. I miss you and the pristine mountain air already!

Slovakia**Are you ready for experiences? This accommodation is just right for you!** From the very first moment, we were welcomed by friendly hosts who did everything to make us feel at home. They gladly prepared traditional meals for us and provided great tips on local restaurants and cafes. I highly recommend booking a horseback riding trip directly with Angelina; her brother is an exceptional guide, and we had unforgettable moments with him. Additionally, the adventure is even more enjoyable with the presence of two dogs, Max and playful Picasso. Anyone who loves dogs will quickly fall in love with them! It's true that you shouldn't expect luxury like a Hilton hotel, but this accommodation is really very pleasant. Personally, I found nothing lacking. The place is cozy, clean, and offers a beautiful view. I felt completely comfortable and satisfied there. If you're looking for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, don’t hesitate to book your stay here.

BelgiumThe walls between rooms upstairs are not soundproof.
We arrived in the snow in Ushguli. The mashrutka dropped us at the gate of the house. The stove was burning. We had the most wonderful, magical stay at Angelina’s. Shorina also cooked dinner for us. We watched her preparing food and had conversation with her. She is building a new hotel next to her house. So accommodation will be better in future.

ColombiaWe got really sick while we were there (from food at a previous guesthouse), which was complicated since there is only one bathroom shared between many guests. The floors/doors were super creaky and the walls were exceptionally thin between rooms.
Our beds were the most comfy ones on our whole trip! The house was really nicely located with gorgeous views and a pretty garden. The staff was very sweet too.

United StatesNothing. P.S. if you happen to see the movie Dede before/during your visit to Ushguli, pay close attention and you may see a few familiar faces! :)
We are so glad we chose Guesthouse Angelina for our stay! The family running the guesthouse is simply lovely, Shorena and Angelina are so nice! Coming back to the guesthouse after a long day of hiking is like coming home :) They were so accommodating, as well — going out of their way to help us arrange transport back to Mestia at a very reasonable price, which can be a little bit hard to find in Ushguli. And they're always smiling and happy to help! The guesthouse is also perfectly situated for the hike to Shkhara glacier and other points of interest. The view from the yard is simply stunning — you can enjoy your morning coffee with a great view of Lamaria Church and the surrounding mountains. Breakfast is absolutely delicious.

United StatesA bit further than most guesthouses if you’re walking Mestia to Ushguli, so don’t think you’re close when you’ve got a bit to go! This should not be a dealbreaker.
Excellent meals, probably some of the best guesthouse fare we ate in Georgia. Room was good and I loved the dogs, especially Max. We played for awhile.
