How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewYou really feel the love this family have for each other, their country and their guests. I can wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse for anyone who is looking for a true Georgian experience. I have stayed in many hostels and guesthouses before and this is by far the most friendly and welcoming place I have every stayed. As soon as I arrived, Nato, Keto and Qeto greeted me with warm smiles and made me feel so welcome and at-home. Every evening, they shared their homemade wine and food with us: they were always entertaining us and making us laugh! They arranged a wine tour with other hostel guests with Nato's husband as our tour guide... he was so funny - we were in stitches of laughter the whole time and he looked after us with extra wine and bread! I have never experienced such generosity and hospitality in a Guesthouse before. Nato is such a warm and caring woman - she is always making sure everyone is okay and happy. Even when additional travellers arrived and there were no free rooms, she went to the trouble of finding them somewhere close by to stay and always invited them the join the family for food and wine. She will really go the extra mile to help with any problems or onward travel etc. I am so sad that I have left and I will miss you all so much but I hope to see you all soon! Thank you for making my 3 days in Sighnaghi so special x

From the very first moment, it felt like you were already part of our family ❤️ Every evening with you was full of joy, your kind heart, your warm smile, and your beautiful energy made the house even brighter. Verified reviewThe family running the place was so kind and helpful. They organized us a fantastic wine tour on one day's notice and overall the atmosphere at the place was very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent and the common areas cozy. Thank you for making our stay in Sighnaghi so memorable <3
There was nothing wrong with the family room we stayed in, but it might be useful information that the fifth bed is a small sofa bed. The walls are quite thin, so if you're a light sleeper ear plugs might be good to have :)

Verified reviewI'm usually too lazy to leave reviews for my bookings, but it would be a shame to not give this place a 10/10. The location is superb and scenery is beautiful. The tours that the host offers is 100% worth it. The other travelers and I went to see the ancient David Gajveri-monastery complex close to the border of Azerbidžan. On the way there we visited some other less-touristy historic locations. More than that, I learned about the Georgian hospitality. The host family is simply awesome. Can't wait to visit this place again sometime in the future. Thank you for everything. (And for the wine 😂)
Dear Taneli, thank you so much for your warm and kind words. We are truly happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and also the tours. It was a big pleasure to meet you, talk with you, and spend time together 😊 You are such a wonderful person, and we will always remember you with a smile 🥰 My whole family also sends you many greetings and lots of love. We hope very much that you will come back again one day, our doors are always open for you 😊❤️ my wine is waiting for you again haha 😄

Verified reviewThe staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and they offered wine and homemade snacks, making it easy for travelers to meet and socialize. The daughters are cheerful and positive, which encourages people to be more social. It was great.
During our stay, we unfortunately encountered bed bugs. One of my friends was bitten around 30 times, while I was not bitten because I used a travel sheet. Staff initially suggested that we might have brought them from Sheki, even though we had stayed there for 6 nights without issues. Later they said, "There was no problem for 20 years, it didn't come from this room, other travelers brought it, maybe you, who knows." This felt a bit dismissive, and there was no apology. They kindly waived the room charge for us due to the bed bug issue. Using a travel sheet is recommended to help prevent bites.
It was truly a pleasure meeting you and spending time together. I’m very sorry to hear you left feeling this way, but I would like to respond honestly and clearly. I’ve been running my guest house for over 20 years, and during that time, this is the first time a guest has mentioned anything about bed bugs. As you mentioned, only one of your friends experienced bites, not you or others, and this makes the situation unclear. Bed bugs can sometimes travel on luggage or clothing from other places, so it's difficult to say with certainty where the issue started. Still, I took your concerns very seriously. Even though I believed the room was clean, I immediately called a professional pest control company. They came the next morning, did a full inspection and treatment, and confirmed there were no signs of bed bugs at all. Just to be sure, I repeated the disinfection again the next day. Since then, I’ve had new guests in the same room, and no one has experienced any issues. I also waived your room fee as a gesture of goodwill, even though there was no confirmed problem. I always do my best to keep the guest house clean, safe, and welcoming. Wishing you safe and happy travels ahead.

Verified reviewLooked nice.
Got to the guest house after a long journey and was immediately told in an abrupt manner that we didn’t have a room. We had made the booking days in advance and had no communication from them since to indicate so. There were several other guests there also being moved to other guesthouses. The guesthouse we were taken to was fine, inferior with no air con or balcony as we had booked for Nato and Lado. We paid a lower price for this one. But overall we were very disappointed with Nato and Lado given the great reviews it had, we were looking forward to relaxing in air con or on the balcony and this was not possible due to… poor organisation? Mismanagement? Some vague talk of Booking.com not working nationwide in Georgia but this blatantly wasn’t true. Whole interaction with the guesthouse left a bitter taste.
Thank you for choosing our guest house. I’d like to clarify a few important details from my side. Sometimes, guesthouses can face unexpected issues — technical, maintenance, or operational. In your case, the room you had booked had a sudden problem, and I didn't want you to arrive tired from your journey only to be disappointed with your accommodation. That’s why I quickly arranged a good alternative guest house for you, just a few meters away, on the same street. I personally drove you there in my own car, made sure you had a private room, and even arranged a discount for you — you paid 45 GEL instead of the original 58 GEL, because the alternative room didn’t have air conditioning. Please understand: I never canceled your reservation on Booking.com. I didn’t want to cause any problem for your booking. I tried to handle the situation in the best way I could, with honesty and care. Even though you didn’t stay at my guest house, I invited you to come over, to have a glass of wine, sit with other guests, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere as much as you wanted. You were warmly welcome anytime, but unfortunately, you didn’t come. I believe that when we travel, we also need a little flexibility and understanding — because just like guests sometimes don’t show up without notice (and I always offer free cancellation out of kindness), sometimes hosts face difficult last-minute situations too. This is part of travel and hospitality, and I always try to handle it with a full heart. I love my guests, every one of them, and my goal is always to help them feel welcome and cared for. That’s why it was truly disappointing to read such a harsh review, especially when I did everything possible to help you in a difficult moment. If I had done nothing, left you without a solution, or treated you badly — then yes, I would fully deserve a 1-star review. But I gave my time, my car, my care, and my best intentions. It makes me sad that this was not seen. Let’s try to be warm to one another. With kindness, the world is a more beautiful place for all of us, travelers and hosts alike. Wishing you good travels ahead ❤️

Verified reviewStaying at NATO & LADO Guest House in Sighnaghi was truly one of the highlights of my trip to Khaeti. From the very first moment, Nato and her family welcomed me with genuine warmth and kindness. They are incredibly friendly, always smiling, and constantly went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. What makes this guest house so special is the unique atmosphere of community. The common areas are inviting and comfortable, creating the perfect space to relax, talk, and meet people from all around the world. The location is excellent—close to the historic center, with beautiful views of the town and the surrounding mountains. The rooms are spotless and cozy, offering both comfort and privacy. But above all, it’s the authentic Georgian hospitality that makes this place unforgettable!. Nato and her family truly make you feel at home. It doesn’t feel like just accommodation—it feels like joining a family and becoming part of the local community. Without a doubt, I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Georgia. A solid 10/10—and I will definitely return!
The only complaint that I have is to myself for staying only one night in Sighnaghi. ))))

Verified reviewNato and her daughter were super attentive to every detail, even helping us with figuring taxis one evening and with the mashrutka back to Tbilisi in the morning. The room was comfy and clean and the apartment has a great view and ideal location. Of course all at a very reasonable price .
Shower at least for one of the rooms was very cold, but as we did not complain they couldn't have known about the problem, I'm sure they would have fixed it if we said something but we didn't mind too much
