A big shout out to all the staff who were so friendly and helpful - Modi cooked all the meals to an excellent very standard. The gardens and location next to the quiet beach were lovely. I was birdwatching and was able to visit a number of excellent sites close to the lodge on foot - it was amazing and felt really safe. An absolute gem of a lodge.

first, Stephane and his whole crew were amazing. I felt like both a princess and a family member of team mansa Musso. Second, the Home & the atmosphere. incredible. it’s decorated nice, outdoors is peaceful, both wild and paradise at the same time. I fell asleep to the sound of birds and the waves at the beach. I woke up to lovely breakfast from Mody, and Malik and Stephane would always ask if I needed something. the beach is a dream. silent, coconut trees bending into the sea. the trehut Malik made is a masterpiece. I’m so full of warm and love after this weekend. I will come back soon! thanks peeps! ♥️

Note that there is NO hot water at the lodge. Showers are taken using the cold water. In all my travels I have never come across a property without hot/warm water. For the price paid (not cheap), the minimum that you would expect is warm water. Location is great during the day but at night is isolated, making trips along the beach in the dark to other restaurants a little scarry.

The lodge is unique and you really feel that you are in Africa. Staff were excellent. A special mention to Malik (manager), Modi (chef), Alfo (gardner) and to Michael (transfer and tour guide) who took me to some intersting places and through his stories I felt like I understood life in The Gambia much better. Thanks Michael for your friendhip and eternal smile. The food is prepared by Modi and served in your accommodation. Modi is an excellent chef and cooked me some superb meals. If visiting don`t miss out on Modis food, you won´t be dissappointed!!

Amazing location, property and facility. Room was beautiful, the bed exceptional. The staff was super friendly. The food (dîner) was simple but very good. The house is surrounded by this unique green estate which ends onto the beach. The house is new and built with all necessray confort withiut impacting the environment. For instqnce it uses solar pannels. A remarkable property in a paradise at a reasonable rate.

We spent the last two nights of our stay in The Gambia here and loved every minute of it. It was the perfect end to our trip. The gardens, the sounds, the birds, the butterflies, the ocean so close. Wow. Fantastic. Our treehouse was perfect, like in a film. The staff are really friendly and the new cook on site, Modi, is 5 star. He cooked to order, served it in the treehouse and it was exquisite. We also really enjoyed chatting to him and finding out more about the country. Thank you for everything Modi, you really enriched our stay. I can highly recommend this gem of a place and if you stay here, you must try all the dishes on the menu. You can't eat better anywhere, even outside Gambia.

We loved everything at this lodge !! It was our best stay in Gambia and we were very sad to leave. Not only is the location stunning (directly at a beautiful and quite beach) but also the treehouse was amazing as well as the staff being so very nice and forthcoming. We will definitely come back to experience again the peace, tranquility and beauty of this place and its people. During our trip to The Gambia, we stayed at several hotels, but the Mansa Musso Treehouse Resort stood out as the best. The treehouse's unique location on the property offers absolute peace and tranquility, allowing guests to fully appreciate the natural beauty from its expansive terrace. Every morning, a sumptuous breakfast was freshly prepared and served on the terrace. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous, making us feel as though we were staying with close friends. While the hotel does not have its own restaurant, the nearby “Black & White” restaurant on the beach offers incredibly delicious and reasonably priced meals. The restaurant also provides a free delivery service to the hotel, allowing guests to dine in the comfort of their own terrace. The nearest town, Sanyang, is easily accessible by local bus for just a few cents. We highly recommend this hotel, particularly for nature lovers, as it is a true gem. We will definitely return!

best Location in front of the beach. The terrace allwos you to view the sea, watch birds and enjoy the beautiful garden. The staff ist great. Every morning breakfast is served on the terrace. Sona makes the best Omelettes and has very good tips for the tailor. Michael is an excellent and reliable tour guide. Maliks barbecue is highly recommended. Thank you very much, for our great stay!

The power went out a few times, which is normal for Gambia, but they said they had a problem with the solar that needed fixing! Didn’t spoil our stay though and will definitely be back!

Everything was well thought out. All the little extras. Tea coffee, picnic basket, even a first aid kit! The most idyllic setting where all you can hear is the waves crashing and birds singing! Peace on earth! One of the best places I’ve ever stayed! Breakfast was delivered to the room as well!

We had a great stay. Lovely house and environment, friendly staff and owners, peaceful but a short walk away from the small village. Fast and reliable wifi. We witnessed the installation of a brand new solar energy system, so electricity should be very reliable going forward.

This is one of the most amazing places we have stayed so I am reluctant to tell anyone else in case its not available when we come back. Emilie is great and has built a very special tree house that is really comfortable with everything you need, including binoculars to watch the amazing bird life right in front of the canopy. If you are into night life and crowded bars then look away, if you are into tranquility and beautiful romantic environments then this has got to be one of the best places we have ever stayed and is, by far, the best place on Sanyang beach. We absolutley loved it

Nothing, it was perfect for us

The treehouse is so peaceful & comfortable. It's charming, rustic & simple. Lovely staff - Malik, Idris & Sona took really good care of us. WiFi was unexpectedly good. Breakfast, coffee, milk & water is provided for free (you have a gas stove, fridge/freezer & cafetiere in the room). Mike the driver was great company, took us to the craft Market & did all the haggling for us. The restaurant next door was great for food. If you want chilled evenings watching the sunset & days lazing on the terrace, this is for you.
