The cupboards in the kitchen smelled quite musty. Note if you're booking: - The "apartment with 2 beds" was just 1 bed which only measured 1.4m wide. (The studio by contrast had a nice wide queen/king sized bed). - When booking, note that the "swimming pool" is private for just one of the rooms. Our mistake.

The host is extremely friendly, helpful and likeable. The location is excellent in Finiki. Returning to find the room cleaned was a nice surprise, and the kitchen has more than most places we stayed in (beyond the usual fridge & kettle, even has a toaster & good quality sauce pans)

Look no further! Minas and Anna exemplify the very best of Greek hospitality and graciousness. They'll welcome you like family. I've traveled all over Greece, renowned for its hospitality, and have not met many hosts of this caliber and warmth. The super comfy, spacious, and immaculately clean apartments overlook an idyllic fishing village and beach where you can watch amazing sunsets every night while listening to live traditional music being played at one of the seaside tavernas. The homemade breakfast is amazing and will fill you until well into the afternoon. Beyond its ideal location in Foiniki, the hotel is an incredibly short drive from the airport and amazing nearby beaches, and not that far of a drive to the other main beaches of the island, not to mention the breathtaking journey getting to those places. Minas knows everyone and every part of Karpathos. He gave outstanding recommendations for restaurants that offered some of the best food I've had in Greece as well as off the beaten path edenic beaches that simply made the trip even that more unforgettable.

The location is wonderful. The owner Minas met us with a warmest wolcome, introduced us to the room/suite, and everything to know about the hotel facilities and nearby points of interest. During the whole stay he and his wife Anna, were allaways ready to help and guide to whatever we needed. Breakfast is excellent, and the view with a couple of minutes walking distance to the beautifuly striking beach made it very special.

The hotel room was large and beautiful. The views from the balcony overlooking the fishing port of Foiniki and neighbouring island Kasos are stunning. The hotel owners were very kind and made the extra mile so that we feel comfortable. The breakfast is worth it. It was big, tasty and diverse.

Finiki village is beautiful and peaceful with a lovely small beach and a few tavernas. Just be aware that it has no shops of its own - nearest mini-market is 2 km away so a hire car is recommended, although the host very kindly drove us.

The hosts Minas and Anna were exceptional. They went out of there way for us, even driving us to the nearest mini-market. Their breakfast was delicious and generous, and served to us on our private balcony overlooking the sea. We had the villa with private pool, which we absolutely loved. Fantastic view of Finiki Bay.

Location is perfect. Breakfast to the room optional. Parking at the door. We paid an extra 40€ for a one bedroom apartment as views were stunning (Apartment 8) and the studio wasn't very big.

The apartments had a great location and view with a short walk to the taverna's. Our apartment was huge and very clean with 2 balconies. Minas, the owner was super friendly and kindly gave us cakes and some fruit. His breakfasts were amazing with a huge selection of food which was also enough for lunch. Would highly recommend. Alkioni Hotel.

I worked for 2 weeks from the studio. The wifi signal is strong but the line itself is weak. Browser-based activities were okay, but video calls were painful (<4mbps sometimes).

Great location above cute Finiki village. I upgraded the studio to amazing garden & seaviews for +10€/day. The extra breakfast (12€) is huge and fed me for at least two meals. Since I stayed 2+ weeks, the host provided me with free drinking water. Overall, the service was amazing, I felt like home.

We had a great stay at Alkioni. The apartment is big, very clean and well equipped. A balcony with a beautiful view on Finiki bay from which you can see fantastic sunsets. From Alkioni you can easily reach the main beaches of the island (by scooter or by car) or Finiki beach on foot. Minas is a great host always available to help for any.
