So many restaurants with outdoor eating areas were located within a few minutes walk from the property. After our flight, we purchased a reduced price metro ticket (5 euros/one way for seniors) and took the blue line to the Evangelismos Metro Station. Delice Hotel was a short walk from the station and located across the street from the Hilton Hotel which has one of the best views of the Acropolis from its restaurant/bar.

Although I liked the breakfast I think there could be more variety in the buffet choices

The hotel was in a very nice location, close to the city center and the Metro. There was easy access with public transport from the airport. The room was nice tidy and quiet.

Only one elevator and very small too. Internet connection very slow on arrival but improved one day later when i asked. Service during breakfast also too slow. Wardrobe doors very creaky.

Good location - not in the city center but close to it, when you come with kids yoy can take a taxy for 4-5€. Breakfast by itself good enough. Very friendly staff. Fully complete kitchen very useful when you come with a family. Large rooms with balcony.

About 10 minutes walk from the metro station. If you are not familiar with the road, it takes us 15 minutes the first time to arrive the hotel. Not so practical if you have a lot of luggage and when you are tired.

The reception is so nice. They speak good English, provide a lot of useful information. The location is not far from the city center and secure.

The kitchen should have had a few more amenities, such as - a microwave oven, dish cleaning liquid, paper roll/ towels. Also there was no plug point in the kitchen for the kettle.

My room did not get cleaned after the first night and I couldn't get any extra amenities such as shampoo. In general the breakfast was very poor: cheap coffee and I felt very sick after eating it. Most importantly after having asked for an early check in, upon arrival I was asked to pay double the rate for another room for an extra night. Some staff at reception are very rude. Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, for the price I paid and for the rate on Booking.com I expected much, much better. In the morning burned bread smell reach up to the room and a lot of noise.

The fresh orange juice at breakfast and the spacious room

・Location: Quite close to bars/restaurants, and a walking distance to metro station/supermarket ・Staff is quite nice and helpful ・Large room with basic equipments (EU standard) can be found. Bed is comfortable for me, and also there is a large balcony.

The bad: our room on the fifth floor delighted us with a very noisy and vibrating rooftop hvac unit which was on for the best of the night, rooms are quite small with limited view on the back side, the breakfast room is ridiculously small - 4 tables where if everybody sits you cannot move around, breakfast quality is below average, internet is available but with long blackout periods The ugly: in general my take is that the hotel is a bit overrated online for what it offers...

The good: the hotel is a repurposed apartment building/retirement home in a good location in Athens - next to the Hilton, it was very clean and the furniture is quite new, also the breakfast included freshly squeezed orange juice

Bathrooms are a bit outdated but functional (eg shower curtain in one of them ended 30 cm above floor level so the bathroom was soaked after one shower). Breakfast is OK, but not very extensive. However very acceptable given the pricing.

Location is very central (about 15 minutes walk from Syntagma square). We had a nice appartement with two bedroom and two bathrooms and a good size sitting area and even a breakfast area. More than enough space for four people. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Place was clean and beds were good. Sizeable balcony.

A shuttle service to the city centre would be a good addition! But overall, it was all good!

Wonderful friendly staff. We had an early ferry to catch to Mykonos and had to leave by 6.30 AM. Even though breakfast usually starts from 7AM, the wonderful staff came in and laid out a full breakfast for us from 6AM! Great location, all the main sights of Athens like Acropolis etc are only a short taxi ride away. Lots of small shops nearby to buy essentials and a lot of restaurants close by! Clean comfortable well maintained property! Comfortable beds. A great filling breakfast and the freshly squeezed orange juice was wonderful. We had great ham and cheese toasted sandwiches and dont miss the Greek yoghurt with honey! Yumm!

only some minor issues: - breakfast could have had a bit more variety, found it a bit repetitive after the 3rd day - sound proofing was not the best, woke up one night because some of our neighbors were noisy - breakfast area filled up during the weekend, but we didn't have to wait for a table

    - helpful and friendly staff - good location - 5 minutes walk to the nearest subway station; 2 subway stations from acropolis / monastiraki, in walking distance of some of the museums and the national garden, direct subway line to airport - good breakfast - room was clean, bathroom was well supplied, bed was comfy - plenty of restaurants nearby, nice neighborhood - good value for money

The staff at the front desk were so welcoming, friendly and helpful, it really enhanced our stay. Breakfast marvellous with freshly squeezed oj. Room clean and spacious. Not great livingroom area - separate kitchen, small dining table, minimal dishes/glassware. Great value for money. A little tricky to find (we had a car), parking on the street not too hard to find though, we were lucky - right out front, free. Hotel is right beside the Hilton - where there's a nice rooftop bar with a view of Athens, acropolis etc. Smaller traditional restaurants across the street, not fancy. 10 - 15 min walk to more upscale restaurant district. We took a taxi to Sytagma Sq 5 euros or 25 min walkfamily feel to th. We'd go back to Delice for sure, in fact we did. we had 2 rooms. First 1 bed, two balconies! 2nd also 1 bedroom, on the 5th floor large balcony. Small elevator.

The staff, especially Sarlani Kristalia, acted like our enjoyment was their personal responsibility. When a tour did not go well, she made sure we had fun options for the rest of the day. Very old establishment. The first couple of days the lift was off (so we had to climb up the stairs to the 3rd floor with all our luggage and our two little kids at 2 o' clock in the morning) the next the corridor lighs in every floor also went off, as well as the Wi-Fi... Very small breakfast lounge and very basic selection of food.

The room size was satisfactory. The location of the hotel is very good, in close proximity to the city centre, public transport, and a few very nice restaurants and cafès. It seemed to us as if it was just the eagereness of some of the staff members that keeep this hotel running...

The hotel personnel was not that helpful. The elevator was not working for two days and cannot say that they really cared about. I didn't have the impression that they wanted to help customers carrying the luggage, etc. either. On the top of that, they used almost rediculous justifications for the elevator not being in order.

The hotel is very well located, close to the metro and easy to find as it is very close to the Hilton hotel (which is huge). Its staff was very nice, especially Krystalina (one of the receptionists) who helped us a lot providing us with info on how to travel to Aegina Island and to some beaches close to Athens. She even prepared all this info while my friend and I were absent and she left us an envelope with another receptionist so that we can get the info when being back at the hotel. She was really amazing but all the staff was very nice. The breakfast is also very good, great yogurt, fresh orange juice and you can make sandwiches as they have a toaster for sandwiches in the dining area. Highly recommeded.

The hotel is very nice with large suite rooms with kitchens in most. The room had two balconies and Air-conditioning. The staff at the desk (Thanks Nikos and Kristalia especially) were fabulous and the housekeeping was flexible to work around our times out. Great location to see Athens, near the metro, and great little restaurants across the street around a park. (Loved Pita Pan!) Would HIGHLY recommend it if you like the freedom and flexibility of a suite. Can't wait to come again. Robert

Room is spacious which can accommodate 4 of us. Walking distance in approx 7mins to metro station. But you have to cross a few motor roads from hotel which might make you feel not good when you are carrying luggage. The neighbourhood is specialists and professionals so it is good when you compare to Omonia.

Very friendly and very helpful staff. Very spacious and well equipped apartment (also double room for grand parents) with lots of room for two young kids to run around and play hide and seek between outings. Excellent location (safe) with walk to nearest metro less than 10 min & 20 min steep walk to the teleferik (cable car) for Lycabettus Hill. Breakfast adequate for a quick grab without the hassle of post clean up. Well decorated and maintained plus clean. Kitchen well equipped for preparing meals for 6 people and plenty of room to sit in the dining area. Sooooo much storage - great for hide and seek :-)

Terrible tiny window-less bathroom with hardly any light to shave. Hand-held shower nozzle. Small kitchen was also very dated with hardly any accessories - eg. only two large tumblers to use as glasses. Wifi was erratic and very slow. The breakfast room was ridiculously small and cramped. Certainly not enough space if all the guests came at the same time. It was hardly possible to get past tables to the breakfast buffet. As the name says, 'family' apartments meant there were a lot of children in the breakfast room who were noisy and irritating. Food offered was not very interesting and not quickly replaced when consumed by early breakfast goers. An unwillingness to provide check-in before 14.00 was not very convenient. Location is reasonably close to a metro station but not close enough to the centre to be in easy walking distance.

The one bedroom apartment was quite large. The public sitting room off reception was tasteful and pleasant.
