Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The building is old and needs renovation. Also breakfast buffet has very limited options.
The location was very good, also our room was clean and we had daily fresh new towels.

Several things: a) The elevator is very small and no one helps you use it b) The staff is not very friendly c) The pieces hear each other a lot (thin walls) d)They charge you if you leave suitcases in custody e) At breakfast they have a person who, instead of helping you, looks like a war soldier, waiting for you to get the right amount. Very bad.
In general, the hotel had a good location and the rooms met what was necessary. You could rest well

The cleaners chat loudly outside the rooms from 7am. Doors are very noisy, even if you try to close the door quietly, it's impossible.
Location is great, great budget stay and very clean. Breakfast is enough is you wish to have your main meals in town.

Breakfast was adequate, enough to set up for the day. It was disappointing there was no hot options on morning we went early and the pastries/breads often ran out.
Excellent location, very comfortable beds, staff friendly. Toiletries supplied in the room. Rooms were spacious and quiet.

I can hear the door bang shut from neighbouring rooms. The shower tray was too small and the shower curtain is very irritating sticking onto your body.
I like the location and nice breakfast. Room was well equipped.

My only issue was the toilet. Whoever decided to make the bathroom so small and stick the toilet in a little corner barley big enough for the toilet itself, was delosional. I'm a very short woman, and I could barely sit on the toilet, me knees touching the wall when I did. I ended up sitting sideways, it was mostly funny, I had only spent one night at the hotel, but had I traveled with my husband, or anyone over the age of 5, they would not have been able to use the toilet.
The staff where very nice, breakfast was good, hotel was clean, even though it's dated. I was in room 402, the size was good, it was mostly quite for a street facing room. Fantastic location, close to the train station for easy commute to/from airport. Close to shopping street, and city center.

The shower facility in the bathroom. Height of shower was very low, and impossible to keep the bathroom floor dry while taking a shower. Breakfast quality was just average.
Excellent location. 1 block away from Syntagma Square, extremely convenient for utilizing metro, tram, bus, and X95 Airport Bus. Abundance of restaurants and shops nearby. Close to main attractions. Area surrounding the hotel was very clean and felt safe. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

The room was small and the window faced a building next door, so no actual view. Overall good value, though.
Convenient location in the city center and a 5 minute walk from the metro. Breakfast was decent, the room was clean and had a little coffee machine and a lock box. Nice bathroom with great shower pressure.

My room was on the back of the hotel and the noises of the air-conditioners outside of the window were quite loud. The toilet was too close to the shower-wall and I had barely space.
The hotel was very well situated at Syntagma Square. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The room was quite large and I had more than enough space.

The rooms were probably built with thin walls as I could hear the conversations from the hallway from fellow tourists or even when the television was on from the opposite room however, i did not mind this at all as during rest hours, the occupants were all considerate with their noise/activities. It was still a relatively quiet place. The lifts may be too narrow for some but again, i did not mind this at all.
The location was perfect - centrally located to Syntagma Square and a walking distance to pretty much everything. Although breakfast might be too basic for others, it is just simple, everyday food that you will eat and I did not mind that at all. The room for me was clean, sufficient in size and has the basic amenities. The bed was comfortable (although I developed rashes from the bed linen as i have sensitive skin) and bathroom facilities were basic but working well. I think the hotel caters sufficiently for the basic needs of the travellers and that is perfectly fine for the rating they have. In my opinion, they have provided and maintained the services expected from their status.The staff were helpful, too. Overall, the room was clean (I have OCD with cleanliness) and my overall stay was comfortable and amazing. I will definitely stay at this hotel, again for my regular trips to Athens.
