The hotel was excellent in every way! Very clean and of a high standard. Extremely friendly staff who will stop at nothing to accommodate your every need. The beach is very close with a choice of excellent beech bars. Vassilikos is a very quiet resort, with just a few tavernas and a couple of supermarkets scattered around. Though, Zakynthos is a small island which can be traveled easily by a car.

At dinner was the food sometimes cold. The bed mattress was too soft for us.

Staff was very friendly, the beach is close to the hotel. Two sunbeds and an umbrella cost only 6 euro or you need drink something from the bar.

The pillows were too hard so they could go a bit softer on that and also the boiled eggs are way too boiled but other than that nothing to complain about.

Very friendly staff and always very helpfull on giving info about the island, where to go and what to see. Beautiful place with nice people, nice weather, amazing places to visit and gorgeous food. And btw you definitely should try the white wine at the Arion Resort. One of the best wine I ever had:).

    Chilled red wine

Loved the relaxed feel of the hotel, and all staff members were really happy to help. We found all the local restaurants really good and excellent value. We are red wine lovers and sadly as it was near the end of the season the only red available was the local wine which they serve chilled and unfortunately we found it dreadfull. Banana beach is about 250 km away and perfect for spending the day. The beachside restaurants are great serving tasty food which they will bring to you while you are laying on your sun bed. All in all a perfect holiday.

Staff was friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. Location was ok, a 5 min walk from a nice sandy beach. Nearby there are a few beautifull beaches that must be seen.

This is clearly not a 4 star hotel by any standards. The internet is not working in the rooms. When we mentioned it at the reception they seemed to be aware of this, however, nothing got solved throughout the week. The rooms are far from the photoshopped pictures on Booking. However, the staff are very friendly and it is obvious they do their best to offer a good service. Clean towels and bed sheets every day, which is a big plus, but not cleaning the bathroom or the room properly. Bathroom drain system is very bad. Breakfast is average with not enough fruits, but lots of meaty options and pastries. Overall, I believe this is above average in Vasilikos, but the expectation should be of a 3 star hotel. I believe it is a general comment for all hotels in Greece- discount 1-2 stars to get to realistic expectations.

Great staff, very helpful and always smiling. Clean towels and bed sheets every day.

Staff were efficient but not hugely friendly. The room also needed some work whilst the decor looked good there were exposed wires on the headboard. One of the lights by the side of the bed didn't work. Also the shower flooded the entire bathroom every time it was used as there was no shower door or curtain.

The overall decor is very nice , rooms were cleaned daily . The restaurant menu was changed daily and offered a variety of meals. When ordering lunch / snacks from the al a cartel daytime menu the portions were huge.

The bathroom/shower was ultra small with no area to put your bath accessories Overpriced for a clearly 3 star Hotel and not a 4 star as deceptively stated.

Staff extremely helpful and kind. From reception to cleaning staff. A+ to all the employees there.

Greedy guests at the buffet. Mosquitos in bar area at night.

Very friendly helpful staff at reception and restaurant. Half board, value for money for family of 4. Breakfast was excellent with dinner experience was varying depending on the night and guests. Great location for family, 5-minute walk to the beach with nice restaurant. Pool was used by the children who enjoyed it. Entertainment was available on a couple of nights.

    Breakfast.

Apart from the wonderful location (the hotel is located just a few minutes on foot from the best beach on the island) and the great pool, the best part of staying at this hotel is the staff. From the moment we arrived and were shown into our room (where there was a chilled bottle of local wine waiting on the table) until the moment we checked out (and received a cute bag of locally grown sage as a good-bye gift), everybody at Arion Hotel always went out of their way to help us out and make us feel welcome. Thank you!

Breakfast was ok. Bacon and sausage (good quality) cold even on early breakfast. Simple food. Good coffee machine Evening meal dreadful. Fine for kids but cold and unappetizing. Bed and breakfast would be a better option. Did not explain that could eat outside.

Room very comfortable. Comfy bed for one person. 2 would have been a squash. Bunk beds in room. Generally very quiet. Not disturbed during the night. Air con v good. Beach short walk and very nice. Sun loungers on beach sensible price. Excellent restaurant on the beach. Very good standard.

Stayed here September 2016. Always made to feel especially welcome by Spiros & Katalina, both couldn't do enough to ensure you had the best experience. Staff always greeted you with a smile. Hotel is very clean and of a high standard, in a great location for getting around the island and very close to the beach. Vassilikos is a very quiet resort, with just a few tavernas and a couple of supermarkets scattered around. The beach (Banana Beach) is a 5 minute stroll and is excellent, clean soft sand and plenty of sunbeds for hire, 5 euro per day. Several beach bars along the beach.

The expected "Double bed" consisted of 2 single beds. The whole concept looks perfect on the pictures but in reality the furniture is very simple and cheap. I dont consider it as a four star hotel.

Not a great selection at breakfast ,not a lot of fresh fruit , only nectarines, plums and melon. would have liked to see strawberries, banana's, pineapple cherries etc. The only downside reallly was that we were half board , the food was pretty good but I do like to go to different restaurants whilst away on holiday and if they did just Bed & breakfast at a reduced rate I think this would have suited us more.

All of the staff couldn't do enough for us, we have a daughter who is coeliac and the chef spoke to us every day to go through what she could and couldn't eat and even got gluten free bread and pasta in for her. The pool area is lovely and was never really crowded or busy , sun loungers always available. Adelina from behind the bar came round the pool for us to order drinks and food numerous times through the day and was always so polite and helpful. Spiros the owner should be very proud of his staff. The location although very quiet is fantastic, 250m to the beach and a great bar/restaurant called Ionio where the strawberry diaquiris are to die for. There are a couple of restaurants within 100m offering great local food. The cleaners were amazing , eveyday whatever time we left the room we came back later in the day to find our room spotless . I wouldn't hesitate to come back again and look forward to a cold bottle of Mythos by the pool some time soon.

There was no lift to our hotel room on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was often warm and not nice. Add more English and American options. Cleaners didn't actually clean the room completely. WiFi connection was weak.

Great location. Hotel had a nice swimming pool area to use. Staff was very friendly and always helpful.
