Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceCircular bed, impossible to keep sheets tight, ugh! Sexy mirror, ugh! Industrial style toilet paper and soap dispensers. Only 1 chair on balcony. Only 1 chair in room. No water glasses. Tiny closet. No insect screen on balcony door. Light from hotel sign shone brightly into room all night!
Close to bus and tram. Large shower with good water pressure.

LatviaAs for the more negative aspects – I’m not really sure how to put it. There’s nothing exactly bad. And yet… the hotel has a kind of strange feeling. It’s hard to describe, but something seems… off. 🙂 Maybe it was just our impression. Otherwise – everything was very nice.
After booking the hotel, we read some reviews – we didn’t really know what to expect, because the guests’ spicy hotel descriptions made us prepare for a full Moulin Rouge-style adventure. I have to say, everything was very calm! The only thing we heard during the day was a woman screaming and moaning like in an exorcism in one of the top-floor rooms. That could be heard throughout the hotel. But the night was peaceful, and we hardly heard the other guests. The hotel itself is really clean and well-kept. As for the neighborhood, we had read some not-so-great reviews, but during the day we didn’t experience anything bad – mostly older people on the streets and many auto parts stores. In the morning, the receptionist made us a delicious coffee.

UkraineYou have to leave your room key at the reception every time you go out, which I didn’t like. The soundproofing is poor. Also, there was no kettle or even a glass in the room.
Room had slippers, there were enough towels. Also, you can ask for daily cleaning, which is very convenient.

SpainThe first night there was the cleaning girl cleaning the rooms in my floor from 22:15 till 00:00 so there was too much noise and impossible to sleep until she finished. When I called the receptionist to warn about this, she said that the cleaning was being done very serious and never said sorry. The air extractor that was on with the light in the bathroom was so noisy after 5 min with the lights on that I had to use the bathroom, have shower, etc. with the lights off.
People in the reception were helpful. The room was nice, had a balcony, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was wide and easy to get in. Big bathroom. Liked that was few stops with the tram from the beach.

New ZealandQuite a difficult location for general Athens sightseeing. It takes at least an hour on public transport to get to the Acropolis etc.
Comfortable, clean, modern room. Friendly staff. Some restaurant options nearby, and close to the beach (although we didn't visit it).

CanadaOnly 1 pillow was given for each bed and is too soft. Not supporting the neck enough. And that the bathroom.dont have a towel rack. Just 2 hooks used by 3 people. Otherwise, the room is great.
We liked that the hotel is so close to restaurants, shops and public transportation.

ItalyThe fan in the toilette in room 103 makes a lot of noise. It needs to be adjusted because the noise can disturb other guests during the night. In the shower would be nice to have a hook for the shower-head so one can have a proper shower. Breakfast for 5 euro was nice, but could be improved with bakery products.
Very kind staff always ready to fulfill guest's requests. The room I had was very large and clean. The hotel is two minutes away from the tram stop.

United KingdomThe bar wasn't manned, you had to get the receptionist to come and serve you, which felt like an inconvenience to them.
Short walk from the Tzitziphies bus stop. We took the bus direct from Athens airport, only cost 5.5 euros each. We arrived after 10pm. The receptionist was friendly on arrival, they recommended a seafood and a grill restaurant just a few doors away, which were still serving. The room was comfortable, clean, air-conditioning and a fridge. It was a very short walk out to the main street where you could access buses to the centre of Athens, Piraeus port and the metro station. They were happy to store our luggage whilst we visited the city and before proceeding to the port for our onward journey.

UkraineWeak wifi, very bad light in the room, it's hard to see anything when the sun goes down. Air conditioner isn't in the best position, it's blowing to the bed in all possible settings. Not many hangers. Hotel is a bit far from the center, not easy to get there by public transportation.
Clean room, towels, bed sheets. Nice breakfast for 5 euro. Pretty fast service, everything you need, you can get in 5 min after a call to reception. Good location if u like to go to the city beaches or port.
