Beautiful resort with friendly and helpful staff. All of the amenities were great. The food in the buffet was delicious with lots of vegetarian and gluten free options.

I loved everything! It’s a 5 star hotel so they are quite expensive compared to other hotels.

Amazing hotel! The staff were amazing! Absolutely amazing and lovely! The room was as expected and described. The room was being cleaned everyday and all the staff were polite. The breakfast was amazing and very fulling, they had so many options for breakfast and it was great!! The lunch and dinner was also great! There were a lot of options too! Great options for kids, I saw kids loving the food and enjoying it. The pool was great too even tho I didn’t go inside. They had a beach right next to the hotel and that’s where I spent most of my time. The beach had loads of waves 😂 but loved it so much. The hotel is quite far from Chania, about 45 minutes by bus but it’s better to take the bus because taxi is expensive. I loved everything about this hotel. Also, concierges are great! Amazing service from them.

It would have been nice to have a designated area for smokers only with seating and refreshment as l felt this is what was lacking.

Excellent staff. It is so family friendly and has everything to offer. The breakfast was the best we had in all of Greece. Spotless and fantastic room cleaning and service. I would highly recommend.

The only negative experience we had were the beds! They are hard mattresses and the pillows were lumpy and not comfortable. We requested a double mattress, but we got 2 singles put together which is the same at most hotels these days. Never ideal. Isn’t a negative about the hotel just a heads up for those who like to hire a car and travel. Most ‘local’ places on the west side of the island seem to be 45mins to an hour 15 min drive.

Our experience overall was very good. The food was really good. Even if you have intolerance there were options, not many during breakfast but lunch and dinner there was always something. The staff were really friendly. The hotel really clean, always can see cleaners. Swimming pool was big and plenty of space even when it’s busy. The glass sides around the pool gave it that extra special look and the kids loved it. Don’t be put off by the road leading up to the hotel. It’s 2 mins off the main road but very quiet area with only a handful of restaurants/bars and shops. The shop in the hotel seems to be cheaper than the shop opposite the hotel.

It is spacious, convenient, and located in a strategic location in Kolymvari. The room is great and the food is top quality. It is a family hotel indeed. The 2 Manolis, Elena, Kiki, Nadia and Theodoros to name few were great, very welcoming and helpful.

The only thing we felt was missing was a bit more in terms of activities or entertainment in the evenings — some animation or organized events would have added a nice touch to the overall experience.

We had a lovely stay at Avra Imperial Hotel. The staff truly made the experience — everyone was helpful, professional, and always polite. The food was delicious with a good variety, and both the sea and the pools were beautiful and very well maintained. The hotel itself was spotless, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable.

The car park was a little small which made parking difficult but we managed to find a space.

My stay at Avra Imperial exceeded all expectations. A fantastic variety of food across multiple restaurants, incredible pools and large spacious bedrooms. The staff were accommodating and friendly too. The location is great, there are some nice local restaurants a short walk away. We also enjoyed exploring the incredible beaches in western Crete.

This was the 3rd time I'd stayed at Avra Imperial, and as an up-grade I got a room with a private pool in the adults only wing. Everything was perfect: nice, spacious, freshly painted and clean room, refreshing pool on the terrace, some fruit and wine on the table to welcome the guests...I loved swimming in the huge glass-walled pool in the garden of the main building, and later in the much quieter pool of the adults only wing. I had buffet dinner in the Basilico restaurant, all the meals - and desserts- I tasted were delicious. ( You can choose to have à la carte dinner in the Al Fresco restaurant, as well. ) In the evening there was live music in the bar. The next day I had breakfast in the Residence Collection's restaurant, which offered a calm and peaceful experience and a wide variety of breakfast choices ( including hot meals as well as fruit, yoghurt and amazing pastries ) and fresh orange juice. All in all, I had a lovely and relaxing mini-holiday in Avra Imperial and I'm grateful for the staff that they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable.Thank you for everything. See you next year!

The staff seemed a little tired in the main buffet restaurant but it’s the end of the season so I get it. I have been here in spring as well and always received excellent service.

I have been coming to this hotel for over 10 years and it always feels like home right away when you arrive. The pools, rooms, restaurants and the private beach are amazing and never get old. Also, the hotel has a nice mix of visitors from young couples to families, single travelers and elderly couples. It’s also very relaxing and easy going for a 5 star resort. it’s always hard to leave this property at the end of your stay but I know I will eventually come back again. I travel a lot and I have seen many 5 star resorts but there is something about this property that always pulls me back, most likely the atmosphere and the surrounding area.

Just one or two minor things that I can't remember right now.. perhaps if the cleaning could be done a little bit earlier in the morning. But we know that there is a lot to do in the vast area like Avra^^

The location, the indications of the staff members, the somptuous pools even if the daylight does heat and burn if we didn't protect ourselves from the sunburn. The restaurants were great and the facilities also. The buffets at the Basilico's and Blue Dong's are convenient, pleasing and reach our expectations. There are so many good things of the stay at Avra Imperial to be remembered!

The entertainment is not good. Music in the evenings is slow pace and makes you sleepy. Dj played cheesy music and not what we were expecting. Also very strange service at check in, we asked how much it would be to upgrade from our suite to a pool suite and we were really brushed off. The man never bothered checking the price for us and seemed to find the check in quite confusing. We walked away without upgrading and felt a bit annoyed. It was strange that he didn’t want to take more of our money. However our room was lovely and we had a great time.

It’s a beautiful place with everything you need in a family holiday. Even as a couple you would really enjoy this place. House keeping are wonderful and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are absolutely fantastic!

The evening entertainment was really lacking unfortunately and thats the one thing that lets this property down. The live music was really nice but it puts you to sleep a bit. You need something more uplifting to keep people wanting to stay up and have a drink.

It’s a beautiful, clean and well equipped property. The food was fantastic and so were the drinks. The room was perfect and had everything we needed, house keeping were wonderful and very friendly. The staff in all areas were wonderful, helpful and attentive. We would definitely stay again.

Overall, we were extremely satisfied. Nothing bothered me enough to actually request or inform the hotel about but if I really need to pick staff that I would have changed - Vegetarian options were limited (but I managed easily since we could order room service, and the food was amazing) I was expecting a bath in the room ? . Maybe because the map photo of the room had one. I assumed wrong and was just a tiny bit disappointed, but the shower was spacious, and everything was great. Not a fan of orange scented shampoo and soap, but I survived (; Great work beacuse as I said everything was wonderful and those tiny things didn't matter to me that much

My mother celebrated her 60 birthday. They approved our early check-in, and my mom received a cake with a personalized note from the staff ! The staff were incredible ! Super friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Everything was perfect. we loved the adults only section. The food was amazing. Never seen my mom so happy and carefree. We want to send our love to all the amazing staff : valentine at the reception, Ira that made us amazing drinks and was always so fun to chat with, the lovely staff at the spa reception and hair salon. Everyone really made our vacation a dream. Would love to go back.

Food is very international in taste. Always good but sometimes you would go for something more sophisticated (Italian restaurant).

Beautiful wellness center and fantastic staff, we really appreciated our time in the SPA and all treatments. Swimming pool area is large and very beautiful all day long. Beach is nice as well, with a nice bar straight on top. Buffet is gorgeous and varied, restaurants are good (Asian). Staff is always very friendly and all people are polite. Overall, amazing experience we will try to replicate!
