Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomA coffee machine would have been nice and there was a little noise from the street, but its not a really busy part of town.
Great location and super clean. Enough space for 2 people and Aristea was really helpful. It's only 15 mins from the bus station and about 1 min from the harbour with great restaurants around the corner.

United KingdomThis was our third visit to the hotel, so obviously we like it! The rooms are beautiful with all amenities that you could need for a city break. Aristea welcomed us again and gave us a map of the town, pointing out a few of her favourite places. The hotel is a stones throw from the harbour where there are some lovely bars and restaurants, perfect for people watching!

CyprusWe already knew that but the fact that the toilet was upstairs was a small missout :)
We had an amazing time in Fortino! The hospitality was great and its people were very welcome. The room was super clean when we got there ans it was cleaned daily! The location was super as it was close to the 2 main public parking places. The room was beautiful and the apt was close to various amenities.

United KingdomNot really suited to 4 people - 3 max. Parking was very difficult. A little overpriced. Aircon was awkward as only one unit and upstairs we were boiling and downstairs they were freezing.
We had the rooftop apartment with jacuzzi. Loved having the extra space on the roof, all facilities are good. The sofa bed is just the actual sofas pictured with sheets on so not a pull out sofa bed as such. It was comfortable and the apartment was fine for 4 people for 4 nights but better suited to 2-3 people. The lady on reception Aristea was very friendly and helpful. She organised a taxi pick up for us when we trekked the Samaria Gorge and hospital details when we had an emergency. The building itself is a lovely old house very close to lovely harbour, restaurants and shops but parking is quite difficult nearby. The beach is only 10-15 mins away but there are much better beaches a short drive away - try Iguana beach just 10 mins drive.

GermanyStairs and floors were made of wood and this created some noise from the neighbor rooms, when people were coming back in the night, but it was acceptable.
It was close to the harbor and restaurants, but not in the super crowded area. Super clean and the host was so gentle.

United KingdomThe hotel was quirky (in a good way) and the staff exceptional. Prior to arriving, the hotel arranged a min bus to pick us up from the airport, we were met on arrival (despite an hour delay) and checked in very quickly. Despite not speaking very good English, the housekeeping team went out of their way to help when needed, The location was brilliant, far enough out of the hussle and bustle, but close enough for a nice, casual walk into the main part of town. Would highly recommend.

FinlandWhen you book apartments in the Old Town, you must remember that however recently renovated they are, they are in extremely old buildings and usually with wooden floors. So the sound insulation is often rather poor. Which was the case also here. But on the whole, the apartment was a perfect choice for our short stay in Chania.
The location of the apartment is spot on. It takes only minutes to walk to the Old and Venetian harbour as well as to taverns and shops. The apartment itself is clean and the kitchenette is equipped so that you could prepare eg. breakfast and even meals. We also liked the two-level concept. When checking-in, we were welcomed by the hostess Aristea, who was extremely friendly and hospitable. She gave us many useful tips for making our few days is Chania a success.

United KingdomThe apartment was spacious and modern, with accommodation over two floors and a rooftop balcony and hot tub, which was a great bonus! Aristea was a wonderfully friendly, helpful and enthusiastic host, who gave us lots of ideas of places to visit and eat. Location is perfect for the harbour and old town.

Small hotel near the old harbour. Great location for the city centre. Mezzanine level bed gives the feel of a good size room. Small sitting area and kitchenette plus small balcony. Bathroom has a lovely large sink and good shower. Hotel is very near to the old harbour and beach or a 10 minute walk to the new beach. Fabulous restaurants nearby. Lots of boutique shops. Beautiful Chania. Can’t get enough.
