Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe only thing we didn't like were the cleaning ladies. They were oftentimes very loud, yelling at one another or loudly facetiming with someone when cleaning the room next door. This was quite annoying on the days we decided to stay in. They also came into our room unannounced on two occasions, despite the "do not disturb" sign on the door. While everything else felt like a true five-star experience, this minor thing didn't. And a suggestion – We felt like there could be a slightly larger variety of simple/comfort meals on the menu so in case someone stays for 14 days like we did, the food doesn't get monotonous.
We loved this oasis of a hotel. The staff was incredibly nice, friendly and made us feel welcome from the very beginning of our stay. Nothing was an issue for them and they had great recommendations for what to see on the island. This resort, however, is that kind of place where you will want to spend the majority of your stay at Kos. The beach was splendid, with great views, clean water and sand, and very comfy beach loungers. The walk to the beach through the sand dunes was a bliss on its own. The pool was also very nice, clean and comfy and when it was a little windy (mind you, it was the end of October), the pool offered a cozy alternative to the beach. The room itself is beautifully designed, the beds are comfy, and there all the amenities you may need. We really enjoyed the outside area of our room/bungalow with lots of options to sit, lay, chill, do yoga. One could also take a quick dip in the shared pool. There were days where we left the room only to go to eat something because we didn't feel like leaving this home away from home. Food options were solid. Breakfast was truly amazing, featuring local and fresh produce. The other food options were also yummy, albeit a little expensive. Last but not least, we found it really lovely that the hotel organized all sorts of cozy and laid back events, such as movie nights, free yoga classes and more. We will definitely come back.

United KingdomThe menu options for half board at dinner were not in keeping with the high standard of everything else for the rest of the stay. On a couple of occasions the food came out luke warm instead of hot. For the quality of the hotel, the food was fairly bland and left us a little disappointed.
The room was exceptional! The grounds were utterly beautiful. The beach was fantastic. Staff at the spa went above and beyond to make our experience there on the 2 days we used it so wonderful. Can't fault the location at all, and breakfast was amazing.

The private beach was amazingly serene and beautiful. I also loved the free yoga sessions, the lounging at the pool, the amenities in the room and the comfortable bed.

United Kingdom£14 for Tzatziki is a little expensive. The resort claims its Eco conscience though we were provided with about 10 fresh towels a day, a little excessive and they should be encouraging people to re-use towels.
The facilities and standard of food were really good. The staff were all really friendly and helpful

United KingdomThe restaurant is trying too hard with pan Asian cuisine with dishes that missed the mark. We come to Greece partly because we love Greek cuisine, and would have preferred really well crafted local dishes such as calamari, but this was missing from the evening menu, except for a couple of things eg Greek salad and some not very inspiring Italian pasta dishes. Food and drinks are very expensive for Greece (priced as per Oku’s other hotel in Ibiza, not as expected for a high end Kos restaurant). As the hotel is remote and designed for you to stay here almost full time, we wanted the restaurant to be part of the experience and were a little disappointed with the choice of cuisine.
Beautifully designed with thoughtful touches (art, design and landscaping) and the most lovely staff. Amazing buffet breakfast, stunning beach, daily yoga, peaceful rooms, excellent toiletries provided. A touch of luxury.

United KingdomMinor thing - the shower didnt drain properly so water went everywhere. We had to put towels down & then they didnt get replaced.
Beautiful hotel. Everything is perfect - the pool, the beach, the bar. Hotel is right on the beach, which isnt totally clear from the fotos, so that was a nice surprise. Breakfast is amazing - loads of choice and high quality food.

United KingdomGreat hotel, private beach is the big selling point - very comfortable beach chairs and umbrellas, and not many people around the private beach which gives a feeling of intimacy. Restaurant has a great set up as well.

United StatesI would have loved to have had some great sunset music playing during the sunset to add a soundtrack to amazing view.
Stunning, simple, natural design of the property and the accommodations. The layout is wonderful for a private feel. We booked a Private villa style “casa” with a private pool. The resort is built perfectly into the natural landscape of the land with a gorgeous private beach.

GermanyLive music in the bar area would be a nice improvement, but this is a very minor suggestion and did not impact our stay or enjoyment of the hotel.
We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary and were upgraded to a Villa. The room was amazing and all of the staff were incredible to help make our stay extra special.

United StatesThere were no steps into the pool, or seating in the pool. The staff did not clear away plates and food left by guests for a long time. We sat there next to someone’s old food for over an hour. And we saw this all around the pool. I ordered grilled octopus and it arrived cold.
The entire property was very spacious. There was plenty of seating areas and seats everywhere. The staff was very friendly and kind. All the food we had was very tasty

GeorgiaMenu in the restaurant can be improved, food prices are very high. Taxi service on the island looks like very unreliable. If you have to catch your flight, even pre-ordered taxi might be late.

United StatesDrinks at the beach party was not very good.
I like the simple and minimalistic design and modern boho style of the hotel. I really enjoyed the amenities especially the private pool and the beach. The activities were fun, we had nice experiences such as stargazing and partying at the beach. I don’t remember if the hotel was for only adults but we want to come back next year as a family!

We stayed at OKU Kos for our honeymoon. The hotel was so wonderful. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite with a private pool (shared with 2 other parties). The rooms were very stylish and clean. The vibe was immaculate and just so relaxing. The staff was overly nice and helpful. And lastly, the food was amazing. We would definitely recommend staying at OKU Kos.

AustriaThere were too many mosquitos in the evening at the dining table which killed the vibe. Breakfast was not so impressive. The pool area gets busy and there is no space.
The staff is welcoming and fast. We got an upgrade and the room was clean. Beautiful morning yoga at the beach. Not so crowded at the beach. The food in the evening was very good - a la carte, but it comes with a price.
