This hotel surely exceeded our expectations, they made us feel welcome, and we will surely use them in the future, again!

Excellent hospitality, entire staff very friendly and eager to serve. Very clean facilities, amazing breakfast(loved the fresh bread!), wonderful pool with bar, dining option at the hotel, 10' away from center of Aegina Town in a lovely area, fantastic sunset from hotel.

Description of 'the beach being 59m away. The beach was unswummable and dangerous. Ricks and large lumps of broken concrete. Also the erratic opening hours of the restaurant.

Very good breakfast; 10 minutes walk from Egina City; very close to a small beach, a 5 minutes walk to a larger, sandy one. When visiting Egina City do not miss a sea food restaurant next to the fish market.

The hot water finished due to overconsumption, but the staff apologized for that and fixed the problem in the 10 minutes.

The place where the hotel is located is perfect for those looking a quiet place just outside the center of Aegina. The staff was very friendly and polite ready to serve every need. Thank you for all.

All great ! Nothing to complain about ! The only thing if you travel without car and have a luggage with you, take a taxi cause it’s a good 20 minutes walk to the hotel and at some places you will be walking up hill.

For those who wants to swim in the sea, it can be a bit uncomfortable. It is right across the hotel down the hill. It is quite rocky and the rocks do cut your feet so make sure to bring proper shoes.

Everything was great. Very peaceful stay, great food, generous breakfast menu, clean rooms, A/C in the rooms, balcony with view even though we didn't book a premium room.

Sun beds - if you can get one. Some are broken and need replaced Small pool but fine for afternoon rest.

Good value for money. It is a three star hotel but don't expect 4/5 star luxury. Sea view rooms are best and we enjoyed the balcony views. Great breakfast. Close enough to walk to town- which is just beautiful. Evening sunsets on way in to town a bonus. Taxi home 4 euros - its uphill on way back.

The only bad thing I have to say about this hotel was that their hot coffee could have been better!

The location was amazing; 30 seconds from a lovely little beach that was great to watch the sunset from. The main port was a 15 min walk away so very easy to get to food and activities, though the hotel's restaurant was great so we stayed in most nights! The pool side was not too busy, and had a great variety of food at the snack bar. The breakfast buffet was really tasty, and had a good variety. The staff were awesome and were eager to help. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

The receptionist at the front desk was abrupt with us, not very welcoming at all. Didn't make a nice first impression. Although it stated that the hotel was 1 km from the dock, it was a lot further and all uphill a bit difficult to manage suitcases. (We are in our sixties). Would've been nice to have a shuttle waiting for us.

The pool area, breakfast bufffet was nice but not a lot of variety.

The air conditioners were a bit loud, and the showers a bit small but other than that, I would stay at this place again.

Our family of 4 (including two grade school aged kids) stayed at the Danae for a week, on the recommendation of a friend who has a vacation home on Aegina. The hotel is quite simple, but there is a nice pool, a great location, very friendly and helpful staff. The seaview from our balcony was a great plus. I highly recommend it for families with children, because they can splash around the pool all day, and access to the sea is just across the road. The main town and port is just a 5 minute drive or a 15 to 20 minute walk away. Great value for money as well.

The location of the hotel was not as close to the port as it was shown on google maps so if you are planning to be on foot take into consideration that you will need about 1.5 km walking to get to the centre of Aegina. Walking to the hotel includes a considerable uphill distance.

Isolation in the room was terrible. Next door couple had a night-long quarrel that we had to listen, every word of it.

The distance from town was about a 15 minute walk with little shade from the sun. If you don't want to walk a taxi into/out of town every time can get costly. There are no shops or restaurants in the immediate vacinity of the hotel but the hotel does have a restaurant and small bar. Not a huge problem if you are aware of this.

This is a great value for money hotel on a beautiful island. Pool and pool bar facilities are great. Staff are very friendly and always happy to help. Breakfast was always very nice. It is in a nice quiet location with views of the sea and access to a rocky beach.

I didn't like the bathroom at all. The shower was so small, and the toilet seat was broken. It was loud in the morning. You can easily hear people slamming the doors. And in the middle of the night, I woke up with a loud machine that sounded like a washing machine (?). I also have to say that they have awful breakfast coffee :(

It is a clean hotel and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they were awesome! I have to say that it is an animal friendly hotel where you can see bird houses and cats in the garden. Sitting on the balcony was very nice. The swimming pool was great and it always gets the sun so it's always warm. The breakfast was very good too.

What is there not to like?

The owners and staff are extremely helpful and welcoming - you couldn't ask for better. The location is a pleasant 15 minute walk from the ferry quay. It gets you to a very quiet and pleasant position along the coast. The outlook to the sea is beautiful. This is (I guess) a 60s hotel and I like the unpretentious feel of it, but has been modernised very well in a restful and restrained style. Lovely garden and pool area with lemon trees and attractive planting. Very nice breakfast included.
