Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The only minus is the wifi which is available only in the lobby.
The room is great, everything you need and just like in the pictures. The staff is very attentive, and the rooms are very clean. They gave us an option for late check out since we had a late flight. Would really recommend!

Our stay at Despoina's was fantastic, our room was beautifully decorated with wooden beds, a mirror and a lovely bountoyar, giving it a cozy and elegant feel. The lady at the reception was incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. There’s also good, spacious parking, which made things very convenient for exploring the island.

We stayed in a non-smoking room at Despoina Hotel in Skiathos, and it was just perfect. The room was clean and comfortable, and the WiFi signal was strong throughout our stay. We were also really pleased with the price, which was very reasonable for the time of year. The hotel's garden, filled with palm trees, added to the peaceful atmosphere.

Good people working there and provided us with excellent tips for exploring the island. Thanks to them, we discovered the house of Papadiamantes, where we had an incredible time. I would definitely stay here again!

Clean room with great free WIFI, clean bath, linens and towels. They also gave us excellent recommendations for beaches and other sights was just perfect! Definitely a great choice for anyone visiting Skiathos.

We loved staying at Despoina. Our room was spotless and sunshine. The yard is large, with lots of beautiful green grass that made the place feel like a green paradise. Prices were excellent too.

Nice room with many amenities such a like TV and private bathroom. Clean and fresh towels, nice view from the balcony. Reasonable rates for season. Definitely recommended to every traveller.

Despoina Hotel is a gem! My room was spacious and the garden was well-maintained, lawns and gorgeous palm trees all around perfect for relaxing in the shade. Strongly agree to stay here again!

Great room and hotel, with very clean venues. The staff were incredibly helpful and gave us great recommendations for nearby beaches. We visited a beach called the Big Sand Beach which was based on their advice and it was absolutely amazing. 100% recommended!

We had a fantastic time at Despoina Hotel in Skiathos. The hotel has a beautiful, large garden with lush grass and tall palm trees, which created a relaxing atmosphere.

It will be great to install a shower curtain in the bathroom so water won’t be everywhere:)
Friendly staff (Thank you John!), clean, safe, close to the harbor, supermarkets and the airport (30 min of walkin), huge balcony, AC and hot water works great.

This hotel is perfect for a relaxing holiday in Skiathos town. The environment is quiet and friendly a very plus was the owners who were fantastic. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and a lovely boudoir with mirror. The spacious bed with the comfy mattress was a great bonus. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and acquaintances!
