Great for us as we hike a lot, but a steep short walk up/down to the little town below which won't suit everybody.

Eleana has put her heart and soul into this charming and welcoming place It has everything you need ans is sparkling clean. The staff are non stop cleaning and tying up so that it looks pristine and immaculate. There are so many cute details that make the stay altogether special. We are definitely coming back for this gem. Wish we stayed there all year round 😉

The free parking was hard to get to, but we found easy parking across the street.

Location was excellent - a 5 minute (but steep) walk from the waterfront and all the restaurants. Room was comfortable and the balcony was awesome. We had been traveling for a while and were able to wash and hang up clothes on the balcony. Neighborhood (the entire village) felt safe and inviting. Eleana helped us with printing our boarding passes and some recommendations.

We spent a week at the Eleana Nature & Art Hotel, and the experience was truly excellent. Eleana was incredibly kind, upgrading our room to a spacious one free of charge. She was always ready to help whenever we needed her. The room itself was spotlessly clean and was tidied daily. The hotel's location is also fantastic—it's not far from the center of Sfakia and offers convenient parking and easy access to nearby beaches. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Eleana in Crete! The hotel is very new, clean, and well maintained. Eleana was incredibly attentive, polite, and always available for us. Our flight was delayed and we arrived very late, but she kindly called a nearby restaurant to ensure we had food upon arrival. This extra attention made our stay truly special. Highly recommended!

Each room is specificalo decorated with incredible taste and artworks, everything brand new with top level of comfort. The host Eleana has been incredibly nice, welcomong us warmly with great advice, always smiling, she offered is a bottle of wine and even a goodbye present. The situation of the hotel is perfect to enjoy Chora Sfakion, in spite of the steps to climb

eleana was a lovely and helpful host, location is perfect - nice to not be slightly away from the busy seafront but still less than a 5 minute walk away. Rooms decorated so nicely, the fridge/kettle/kitchenware available in the room is perfect to have a lovely breakfast/lunch on the balcony. having access to the property from the bottom and the top is really useful - there are stairs/steep hills but thats what you would expect from any property in chora sfakion

We had the opportunity to stay at a magical accommodation in Sfakia, Crete, which exceeded all my expectations. The sea view was truly breathtaking, offering moments of tranquility and enjoyment every morning and evening. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a deep and restful sleep after a full day of exploration. The staff were not only professional but also warm hosts, always ready to assist with a smile and genuine kindness. They welcomed us with beautiful gifts and heartfelt hospitality, making us feel right at home. This experience was unique and will definitely be a highlight of my future vacations. The uphill walk might be a problem for someone with mobility issues. If this is you. You should speak to Eleana to see if there are any rooms that would be easier to access.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel in Hora Sfakion, and we can’t say enough great things about it – especially about Eleana, the owner, who is truly a fantastic host. Our trip got off to a rocky start with a delayed flight from Athens, and we didn’t arrive until nearly 11 PM – well past the time any restaurants were open. But Eleana went above and beyond. She personally called around, found a place still willing to prepare food, and even helped us pick it up. To top it off, she gave us a lovely bottle of wine to enjoy with our late dinner. That level of hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated. Throughout our stay, Eleana remained easily accessible via WhatsApp, always responding quickly and offering excellent local recommendations on what to see and do. Her insider tips made our trip that much more enjoyable. The room itself was just perfect – spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and powerful AC, which was a godsend during the 40°C heat. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touches like coffee, morning snacks, and a handy fridge for keeping drinks cold. Hora Sfakion is a charming, peaceful town that feels authentic and unspoiled – far from the crowds of more tourist-heavy areas. We fell in love with the slower pace and genuine Cretan hospitality. If you're considering staying in the area, don’t think twice – this place, and Eleana’s incredible warmth and care, made our trip unforgettable. Highly recommended!
