WASPS but hotel had a few means of trying to keep them away.

Our Garden Room was lovely with views over to the beaches and aqua blue sea. Breakfast plentiful with the tastiest Greek Yogurt I have ever had. On wall closed in shower. Wonderfully welcoming and friendly staff.

That they charge for orange jiuce at £3/ 3euros a glass that was expensive considering we stayed at a 4 star hotel after and they only charges 1.50euros and they should sell more about their amazing theraputic spa too.

Loved the views at this hotel enjoyed the room and the balcony with panaramic views which was breath taking. The bathroom for a 3 star hotel was extremely impressivve it beats a 5 star anyday! The staff was friendly and polite and helpful. Amazing sea salt pool water very theraputic best I have every felt and juevenated my skin!.

Erofili is just a beautiful property, with absolutely stunning views, which is what sets it apart from the other hotels in the area. The rooms were great, enough space to move around, and bathrooms were very clean and modern. Our sea view balcony was perfect for our morning coffee. Great pool area, and very close the beautiful sea water down below the rocks. A few minutes walk to the cute town of Armenistis, with plenty of yummy bakeries and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is quite difficult getting to other parts of the island, so would recommend hiring a car. Breakfast was fantastic!!! Ikaria is an island like no other, truly breathtaking, spiritual and relaxing. Thank you Erofili, we hope to be back!

We stopped at Ikaria on our way back to Mykonos, from Patmos. Spending a night at the Erofili was a pure delight, from the kindness of the team to the quality of the service. Having a direct access to the sea from the hotel also was an amazing thing.

The room was a bit noisy because the walls are wafer thin and you can hear the toilet flush from the room next door. It wouldn't really matter if the residents next door didn't forget the toilet flush running.

The room had very comfortable bed and mattress and the swimming pool is a must!

Breakfast was plentiful but not great quality. It is a very expensive mistake to arrive by plane, or ferry to the wrong port. No public transport and 1.5 hours by taxi from both. The receptionist found me someone to share a taxi when I left for €40 each but it cost €70 when I arrived.

The shower leaked a bit, but nothing outrageous by Greek standards : )

It was a perfect choice in Armenistis! Besides its own pool, the hotel also has stairs leading down to the sea for a quick swim. A long sandy beach is nearby. Breakfast is the best I have had anywhere else in Greece, with amazing variety and a bright terrace to enjoy it from. We loved having a large balcony in a corner room, from where we watched the sun rise every morning. The room was tastefully done out and had everything we needed. A personal thank you to the staff for making us laugh and tolerating my broken Greek for 5 days.

Availability: The room we booked was unavailable. They offered us a different type of room which although had a sea view was much smaller while they tried to convinced us that it was an upgrade. We finally got another room which was not ready so we had to wait for them to prepare it. The room did not have good ventilation so it took 2-3 hours for the mopping to dry. We were exhausted so we had to sleep with the unpleasant smell, which eventuelly went away only the other day. Although we requested it and we stayed for 3 nights, we were not offered another room for the rest of our stay due to lack of availability. Room description: The room we booked had balcony and view to patio in the description, while it turned that the property does not have rooms with these attributes! View and balcony for the room type we booked was removed from the website during our stay so now it is displayed correctly. Facilities: Sauna facilities were out of order since a couple of months without mentioning that information on the website or inform us before our arrival. Generally a very bad value for money. Fortunately the island compensated us with it's character and it's people. If you would like to feel the real hospitality of the locals we would suggest to look for another place for your stay.

Nothing negative to say about this hotel.

Amazing, amazing views of the sea! I was in Europe since late June and stayed at so many places with balconies of our room. The balcony of our room at Erofili was the biggest I have seen. The staff were brilliant, so helpful and nice. The hotel was always spotless. Apart from the rooms being very clean there was always someone outside the front of the building sweeping and washing. The buffet breakfast was delicious with the best Greek yogurt I have had. There were homemade cakes, local fresh fruit, omelette and much more. As for beach swimming we would walk down some steps to reach the beach. It was actually easy walking to any of the nearby beaches. Also, the local tarvenas are nearby and there is a fantastic cake shop across the road from the hotel. I would definitely stay at Erofili again!

    • Leisure trip
    • Couple

The garden view room is disappointing, but we were changed after a couple of days to a sea view room without extra charge. There was also no safe in the first room despite the booking being explicit about it. Whereas there are signs of cost-cutting, the staff are so friendly and useful that well we had to do was ask and they did their best to make our stay amazing.

Ikaria is a fantastic island with live events and festivals on a daily basis, alongside some very good beaches with waves for surfers and sand for families. Hotel staff were always very helpful, so for any problems just ask. Breakfast very good for Greek standards, with day to day variation but also fantastic home made cakes. Was meant to be until 10.30 but staff carried on serving for a bit afterwards as well without complaints. The pool is medium-size but never too busy as the best beaches are only nearby. It is warm and open 24/7 so we had some great night swims! The sea view is amazing, including from the pool. The nightlife is concentrated in the area around the hotel, so it is easy to walk or a take a short drive to most places. The hotel is a bit on the expensive side at peak times, but we booked well in advance and got a brilliant bargain that was excellent value for money. I would advise paying the extra bit for the sea view, it is worth it. Try out-of-season periods for trekking. The island is full of rivers and paths, waterfalls and other amazing sightings; ideal not for the summer (too hot) but for spring and autumn (I will go again for those!).

Sometimes the service was businesslike and lacked that personal touch that seems to be everywhere in Greece. Because of its mountainous terrain Ikaria is a hard island to get around which is not the Erofili's responsibility and that can make things more difficult than expected.

The location of the Erofili is perfect. It's essential to get a room facing the sea as the views are breathtaking. The hotel Is Very comfortable. It's really pleasant sitting in the lobby reading and the rooms are spacious with everything you need. Restaurants are an easy walk away as are Livadi and Mesakti beach.
