Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe bathroom started to smell pretty bad after a day - we think this was the drains as our neighbours had the same issue.
Amazing location right on the beach with free beach and pool loungers for guests (we stayed in mid-off season)! The breakfast included had a good variety of options, nice dining area by the pool too. Pool was also clean and kept at perfect cooler temp. Wifi was also very good all throughout the site. We stayed in September so the club next door was closed unfortunately but the reduced price of reflected that, we will just have to come back in peak season! :)

United KingdomThere was only one pillow on the bed, the bathroom was very small, the staff seemed to charge different prices for the same drinks one day (not sure if they added tip without us knowing)
Breakfast was great! Loved the location! The staff offer a shuttle to and from the port which was fab! And the aircon and the room in general were fantastic and well kept! Would definitely stay again.

GermanyThe bathroom is a little narrow.
Even though it's basically a party location that attracts mostly young people, the Far Out Village rooms are quiet and retreated from the bar. Great atmosphere, beautiful site, plentiful breakfast buffet.

Germany- safe in the room did not work - Nearly no sunshades near the sunbeds
- located very well - beautiful beach in front of the hotel (a pair of sunbeds costs 10-15€/day), many restaurants nearby - nice pool area, many sunbeds, dj plays live music - good restaurant, big portions - bus stop directly at the hotel (5 minutes to Chora, 20 to port)

CanadaThis was not a problem for me but it was a very young crowd, loud music at the pool all day and pool party by night.
Location is great just across from the beach. The pools where excellent and the property was very nice, and the food was excellent. DJ's played good music

United KingdomWhile the food you could order from the menu was great, there was a minor downside: the complimentary breakfast. Although it's included in your stay, it was quite basic and plain, and therefore, not as impressive as other amenities.
This hotel is conveniently situated right beside a beautiful beach teeming with water activities. A lively beach club is located next door, which had the pleasure of hosting a prominent DJ during our stay, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. The hotel also features a fantastic pool, perfect for a relaxing swim. The rooms are spacious, providing comfortable accommodation, and there's a cozy area at the back, perfect for enjoying drinks in a tranquil setting. For fitness enthusiasts, the hotel offers a well-equipped gym which my friend used for a nominal fee of 5 euros. In terms of location, the hotel is ideally placed. To the right of the hotel, you'll find a wide selection of restaurants, bars, and convenience stores, catering to all your needs during your stay. The staff, especially those working in the beach area, were exceptionally friendly and attentive, enhancing our overall experience. A bus service is available for trips to the old town only for a few euros which makes exploration of the city hassle-free. In summary, this hotel offers a perfect blend of fun, relaxation, and convenience, making our stay a truly memorable one.

FinlandThird time at Far Out- this room needs a little update. The bathroom was very tiny, just a small things to update. Nothing big though, and ok compared to the price!
Very good location at the Mylopotas. Easy to move around, best beach and great pool. Good music and nice vibes! Very cool staff and delicious pizzas! Good breakfast, enough to enjoy your pool hang or beach day.

United KingdomBreakfast could’ve had more options, and as it’s off season the mini market on site didn’t have much so had to go into town
Room was great, pool and facilities were too! Great location right on the beach, bus stop right outside too for €1.50 each way. It was very chilled. I imagine in peak season it’s completely different but I would stay again

United Kingdom€10 pp shuttle for return trip from the port. We stayed at Far Out Beach Club as well whilst we were in Ios, and they offered a free shuttle from the port, a bit odd considering it’s the same company? We got the public bus on returning to the port (€1.60 pp) which leaves from right in front of the hotel.
Great location (albeit busy and loud as right next to the beach club), right on the beach with plenty of really nice restaurants nearby. The hotel also serves amazing food - burgers, pizzas, sushi etc. Lovely pool area. I’d definitely recommend this hotel, as long as you don’t mind it being pretty lively.

United KingdomGood pool, sunbeds and breakfast. Clean rooms although a bit dated. Easy access to one of the best beaches although too windy during our stay.. good location for young adults looking to party. At least the music stops early-ish here to carry on in the clubs of chora to allow oldies to sleep
