Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenMaybe a bit far from "it all". But Schinoussa is a very small island, so nothing is really that far away.
The size of the studio, the big terrace, the view, the beds, the restaurant, the owner, the service. Very quite and relaxing. A gem. We liked everything!!

FranceRoom is clean and comfortable with all equipments you possibly need, even some books. From the balcony, you'll enjoy a nice view over the island in a quiet environment, close to the center Chora or beaches like Psili Ammos (10/15 min walking distance). Good communication from Stefani, friendly & helpful, she picked me up and took me back to the port despite a last minute reservation, appreciated it.

United KingdomHotel Harama is a short walk outside of the main town. The location is stunning (with great views) and very close to a lovely beach that is sheltered from the North wind which can be rather frequent and strong. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and helpful (especially Stefani and Nikeos). We got a lift from the port which was much appreciated given the steep hill. The rooms are stylish and clean with balconies on either side. Furthermore, the food at the hotel is some of the best on the island.

United KingdomBeautiful place, in a very quiet location 15 mins walk from the Hora. This is in the north part of the island. Clean and comfortable room, good internet. The restaurant in the hotel is also super nice and the hosts are very friendly. If you like places far from the crowds this is the place for you.

ItalyI struggle to find something I did not like. If I make an effort, I can mention the fact that they did not change towels in the room, although we left them for changing. Nonetheless, knowing how the island is struggling with water resources, it is understandable so it was not a real issue.
I "wish" I could make a bad review on my experience here, but that would be a lie just to keep this place secret! Staying at Harama was one of the best travel experiences you can have. We loved everything about this place, like the spacious, simple but cozy room, with a fantastic terrace overlooking the sunrise and the sea (as well as the beautiful fields of the island). We loved the natural context all around us, the green of the plants of all kinds dominating the scene, the pergola where you have breakfast, lunch and dinner slowly, enjoying every minute. We loved Stefani's kind, discreet and familiar hospitality and every single dish and drink we had here. We enjoyed everything, from the transfer from the port, to the last lunch before leaving. I am so happy to having discovered this palce, every element of this place is filled with love. I'll make sure to come back soon!

United KingdomHarama is not central but the island is small. However, it's a good fifteen minutes walk to the facilities in the main village, so lugging groceries (e.g. water bottles) back was an occasional chore. On the quirky side, my room and the adjacent ones had a curious layout in that the bathroom window opened onto the adjacent occupants balcony. This required some sensitivity when e.g. using the toilet. Also, the outside restaurant area had an issue with bits of foliage dropping from the trellis roofing on to the tables - so pick your seat carefully to avoid unrequested plant matter appearing on your moussaka.
From my large balcony (Standard Triple Room with Sea View) there was a beautiful view of the lovely soft landscape of Schinousa and the distant (10 mins walk) sea. The room was tastefully pretty with aircon and large stylish modern ceiling fan. The facilities were fairly basic - fridge and boiler device for cups of tea/coffee. No kitchenette for cooking but then there was an excellent restaurant on site. Staff, Boo the dog, and especially Stephanie, were excellent and provided lifts to/from the port. I had a delightful six days on Schinousa based at Harama. Strongly recommended.

SwitzerlandWe were there at the end of the season and therefore it was a bit quieter on the island than we had hoped. This also meant less seafood options and other specialties
Stephania made us a different local breakfast every morning and gave us local specialties for lunch each day. The hospitality at Hotel Harama is so exceptional, people come back every year. The location is in the middle of the island, which means you can walk in different directions to different beaches depending on the wind conditions. It was truly a memorable stay and we can highly recommend it.

United KingdomFor the standard of the accommodation, the price was a bit high, when compared to other islands. But Schinoussa seems to be an expensive island, so it it probably comparable to other small hotels on the island.
Charming, competent and caring family that runs the hotel. Good food. Central and very quiet location from which to explore all parts of the (very small) island.
