Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. United States of AmericaNot much.
Excellent family owned hotel that is ~25 min outside of Chania right on the beach. Facilities were first class. The infinity pool was beautiful set very near the small dock and rocky beach. The restaurant was very good with an excellent view of the sunsets. The staff was tremendous to accommodate whatever we wanted. "Palo" (couldn't pronounce his Greek name) was so very attentive and took time on two occasions to write down different activities and sites that we should do during on our visit. The food at their restaurant was as good as any restaurant that we visited in Chania. We booked their least expensive room, which was very simple but quite comfortable. Great experience. I highly recommend the hotel.

NorwayThe shower was leaking a little, but so much that it bothered us.
Really nice staff, they helped us with whatever we needed and gave many recommendations. The place is also beautiful, with sea on almost every side. Good food. Spa was amazing. The rental car included was golden. If you do not have one included, I recommend renting one - as it is no busses and expensive taxis. Overall a very good stay. Want to come back.

GreeceNothing.
The room was lovely. Quality fixtures and fittings, with a very comfortable bed. The shower was exceptional. There is a lot of attention to detail in the outside areas and reception/bar. The welcome drink on arrival was very welcome. The best, though, was the breakfast. Top quality breakfast buffet with a huge variety . It's probably one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had in a hotel.

GermanyWe have been there during the last week of the season for the hotel, so it has already been very quiet and all restaurants in the area around the hotel were already closed. But our stay in the hotel was great, it is located really nicely directly at the sea and the combo with the rental car was perfect for us.

GermanyThe hotel was less nice from the room door inwards than outwards. Very simple furnishings and details that would have been easy to fix, like a weirdly terrible shower door which you had to kinda jump over the toilet to get into, and which opened directly under the showerhead instead of the opposite end, so the whole bathroom was inevitably flooded after every shower. It seemed obvious that it was just built the wrong way around.
Really lovely place, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely loved the "beach" area. Beautiful, quiet surroundings. A bit out of the way, so not the most convenient if you want to move around a lot, but absolutely perfect for some quiet days lounging around. Breakfast was great, although we didn't have the best experience with the a la carte restaurant. Our room came with a kitchenette so we used that quite a bit when we didn't feel like driving into town. The rental car (and pick-up, and drop-off) was included in the price so really, what else could you ask for? The cutest family of wild dogs goofing around? You get that too <3

Perfect deal to rent the room as well as a car to get around the island comfortably. We also loved the location where the private beach was perfect for snorkelling and not far from zorbas sandy beach and cave lera. The staff were exceptional and incredibly welcoming, always helpful. Breakfast was delicious, everything was just beautiful. We are planning to return!

AustriaEverything was just wonderful. The pool with the suites was cold as it was on the shadowy side, but that might be on us for traveling in October. The pillows are a bit to big and hard but we just didn't use them then, might get other ones at the reception, we didn't ask.
Staff We were treated very kindly from everyone working there + great cleaning crew, soaps were always refilled & the room was cleaned including from beach residue that gets dragged in. Not common in most places to get the floors cleaned. We got complementary massages with out booking & amazing travel tips from the lady working the spa. Hotel & Food The spa folder is definitely worth checking out, lots of different offers for appropriate prices. Lots of lounges around the pool or along the shore to really relax. The pool is giant! So nice to take a dip. Breakfast has a great selection of sweet & savoury treats, some changing daily. Room As we booked one of the suites we had a small pool just to ourself. Unfortunately the pool was too cold in the shadow, we expected that traveling in October but the lounges get lots of sun in the afternoon. Great outdoor area with seats in the morning sun to enjoy a coffee infront of the suite. The room was very spacious & had an entry way to store shoes & luggage. The upstairs area we barely used as it was just to wonderful outside. Location Just 25min by car from Chania & in 20-30min you'll reach other sights as well. Thanks for having us

IrelandOur studio room had a small kitchenette hidden behind the wardrobe but this would not be practical if you wanted to cook. In our studio you had to climb around the toilet to access the shower. It was badly planned. The shower door should open the opposite direction! A chest of drawers would have been practical for holding clothes.
Lovely hotel in quiet location with a gorgeous swimming pool and a pontoon to give you easier access to swim in the sea. With a car there are several nice beaches within half an hour and local tavernas to try. Food was always excellent. Staff were very friendly. The Spa was perfect.

South AfricaThe "free" coffee at breakfast was sub-par - undrinkable - they can seriously upgrade this. Even the Nespresso "paid for coffee" wasn't great - but I'm a bit of a coffee snob.
The hotel has great facilities, and for us the private ocean swimming area with dock was just amazing. The pool and restaurant had amazing views and was great to just sit and relax or have a great meal with stunning sunset views. The breakfast was ok, but not the best. The staff was SUPER friendly, helpful and accommodating, really so nice to deal with and would come back just on how wonderful they were. I also really liked the airport pickup service and the free rental car that came with the accommodation. The Crete roads are sometimes VERY narrow - so slow and steady driving and staying calm is recommended!

United KingdomNothing other than the location isn’t in walking distance to anything else. There are some shops and restaurants fairly close but you need to drive.
The room was good, bed comfortable and everything was clean. There were some complimentary treats and water in the fridge too. The views from the pool and surrounding area were spectacular and the pool was lovely. We ate at the restaurant and the food was fab.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast buffet could be better. Food wasn't very warm and the options weren't that great in our opinion. The omelet bar was basically egg and cheese. No veggies or even meat to be added. Had the breakfast been better I would have given the overall rating a 10.
We had a SV Junior Suite with private infinity pool and jacuzzi with car rental. The room and pool area were absolutely amazing! Very nice and beautiful. Renting the car directly from the hotel made was so convenient, easy and nice! Having a Nespresso machine in the room was a plus too. The pool area had a very nice patio area with outdoor shower, large outdoor dining table, lounge chairs and more. Very modern and beautiful.

United KingdomThe only genuine draw back we found was the kitchenette was extremely basic with no microwave toaster or even a kettle. They did however supply a kettle after requesting. We enjoy cooking as we're a family of 5 with 3 very young girls but there is an outstanding restaurant on site so you'll never go hungry.
The fact of been so remote was lovely and peaceful the staff were all extremely polite and professional and helped with any queries promptly. The car hire included was the cherry on top allowing us to explore the great hidden beaches and coves.
