At times (especially during the middle of the day) there was lack of cold water in the shower. Breakfast was almost the same each day. One day I found that the one of the cereal was not fresh. The next day I found that the white bread was also a bit spoiled. Also as a detail, throwing out of the toilet paper to a toilet bowl was strongly discouraged

Breakfast was quite good for the most part. Lots of fruit, vegetables, dark, crispy bread, olives, eggs, sausages (English breakfast). Orange and Grapefruit juice, water, tee and coffee available. Rooms were clean, and there was housekeeping every day available (refilling tea and coffee bags). Receptionists were very kind to guide us through the basics of how to commute around the Kamari. AC was also working. Both table tennis and tennis (alongside with equipment) were available to use (though tennis court was quite short and concrete). Very clean swimming pool

Breakfast, the service was good. Location is not great but definitely Worth the price. Also You have to leave the key at the reception as the key is difficult to replace if lost. An alternative locker box is inside every room in which you can leave your valuables and carry that key with you.

We loved our stay here! The location was excellent, only a short walk into the main town of Kamari. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast included was also excellent and the pool area was lovely, we sat out there every day. The staff were excellent and always so happy to help and greet you. I would highly recommend and will be staying here again

I liked everything.

The hotel was utterly clean,the staff was very helpful and kind. I am a very bad sleeper but the room was really quiet (I was afraid that the airplane noises were going to be disturbing, but absolutely nothing could be heard), the bed was very comfortable and all in all the room was well equipped. There is a nice bar by the pool where you can have some snacks and drinks which was also great. The beach is very close, a 7min walk approx., and there is a bus stop literally in front of the hotel for a direct bus to Fira. And the ultimate plus is that you can use the hotel amenities (pool, restrooms, shower) even after checking out, so if you have a late flight, you can chill there as long as you like. Altogether, I really recommend staying at this hotel.

Buses go from Kamari to move around the island. Still, unless you take a rental, you need to be prepared to walk a little, to get around - about 10 min to the beach area or main bus stop. Also, not all the rooms are with the view as on the pictures, but we even had a seaview and didn't mind the airport view aside it 😊

Hotel Makarios has a very welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. They answered all questions fast and can also give all the information to getting around the island, finding tours or rentals, if you want etc. Hotell was situated near Kamari beach, which has nice restaurants and beach area. The room was very clean and quiet (didn't even hear the planes getting up and landing at the nearby airport).

maybe the rooms on the other floors are better but unfortunately for us that gave us two rooms on the lower floor and was not the best (high Umidity), the food on the breakfast and pool bars was not good and on Top of all the airport is to close and the airplain arriving every 20 min with a high noise.

Breakfast was not to my liking but recognise that it’s more about me not liking continental breakfasts and not a fault of the hotel. Coffee facilities in room ok but tea not so good, need better options for milk.

There wasn't food in the evening which was a shame if we wanted to stay at the hotel.

.We found the hotel exceptional. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The room was cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels. The breakfast was lovely with a good range to choose from. The pool was amazing, a good size and plenty of sun loungers. The location was perfect, a ten minute slow saunter to the beach where all the restaurants and bars were. We had such a relaxing time at the Makarios and will definitely be going back.

I didn't know about the rental cars and scooters till my last day. My fault because I came in the middle of the night and just wanted a key but would have been nice to get a heads up in the little binder in the room.

It had a ping pong and pool also the front desk can help with making reservations for tours and rental cars/scooters. The hotel was just close enough that it gave me a work out but didn't feel I was dying to get to the beach.
