Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomCertain guests reserved the beach sun beds early, even before sunrise, but didn't appear in person until much later in the day. This is an age old problem but was a real pain at times.
All staff were friendly and offered excellent service. They carried our cases up the stairs to our room and back down upon our departure. Maria, in the outside bar always had a pleasant smile, the included breakfasts were fresh and filling and our room was spotlessly clean with fresh towels were provided ever day.

United Kingdom2 points. 1. the matresses were the hardest we slept on during our travels around the Greek islands. 2. The balcony was separated from the others either side by a solid screen which prevented most of the fallout from the chain-vapers next door from reaching us. Unfortunately, the air conditioning unit on the balcony sucked in their vapours and pumped them into our room. Disgusting! Smokers/vapers should have designated areas to use - away from other guests rooms. The rooms are non-smoking. The balconies should be too.
Located about 3km from the main ferry port in Agia Marina, this hotel is an easy taxi transfer. The hotel sits directly off the beach road and has it's own free sunbeds and beach towels. Although they are for everyone at the hotel, some guests do abuse this by the old favourite of absentee towel placing.. The interior is very clean and has a retro feel to the decor. The room was spacious, clean and air-conditioned, with a separate shower/w.c. and a large balcony with table and chairs overlooking the road, beach and with views across the bay. Very relaxing of an evening. The staff were delightfully helpful and polite. We had the breakfast which was continental buffet style but with some cooked items which changed from day to day, such as chipolatas, bacon, scrambled eggs, and fried eggs. There was plenty of it but, as ever it dwindled towards the end of the allocated time. For drinks and evening meals, the hotel is surrounded by a variety of tavernas. There is a hotel bar on the front terrace. All in all a pleasant stay in a good location. Please note there is only ONE ATM in this part of town, the next nearest being in the port 3 km away. The ATM went down while we were there and hadn't been fixed by the time we left.

TurkeyDefinitely needs a serious renovation, almost everything in the rooms was a bit dingy and old. They put foldable chairs in a beautiful balcony, hence we couldn’t spend a lot of time out there :/ Breakfast was mediocre.
Location is great, right by the sea in one of the most beautiful parts of the island. Amenities are ok considering the price tag.

TurkeyThey were very disorganizwd this year. There was one lady at the reception Konstantina and she was great. This year are some new ladies and they were almost never at the reception. Girst of all we could not feel safe. Apart from that, the room is cery very dirty. This hotel needs urgent refurbishment. Everything started to get old, smelly, etc.
We are regulars at his hotel. We love the view and the location. It used to be like home for us… but -

TurkeyBeach was very narrow so there was limited amount of sunbeds. You need to be early on the beach to get a sunbed otherwise there were all occupied.
Hotel was clean, on one of the nicest beach of the island. Also there was a very nice beach restaurant only 50 meters to the hotel. Hotel has a nice bar can be used during the day.

ItalyThe bathrooom is small, and the shower is not well screened so that the floor becomes wet every time.
It is a really lovely hotel separated from the narrow but long beach only by a narrow road. The bay is really beautiful. Everything was wonderful. There are large common spaces, and a nice breakfast. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for the cost of a drink at the bar.

United KingdomThe breakfast was not the best, especially the coffee
The Alea Mare hotel is a comfortable, well kept hotel in a great location in Alinda, close to an excellent choice of eating places, bars and small shops and even a small museum. The taxi drive from the main port took about 15 minutes and cost about £10. It is across the bay from the port of Aghia Marina, where we walked one day and enjoyed watching some fishermen bringing in the day's catch of sardines in the harbour. We really enjoyed being so close to the beach, and the flower-covered area where we ate breakfast looking out at the sea. The breakfast itself was not the best but we liked that it was available later than usual, giving a relaxed start to the day, in a beautiful setting. We loved the island of Leros and hope to visit again one day, and would happily stay again in the Alea Mare hotel.
