Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaThe place is very welcoming, quiet, very beautiful and the host is very nice. You will need a car though to get places because it’s a little bit far

RomaniaThe internet didn't worked at all for first week, and it is very, very weak, with many interruptions, almost non-existent, it reminds you of the dial-up era. If you work everyday online or you need to do some extra tasks if called from work as needed, beware!, bring your own internet...
The hotel's location is excellent, close to the beaches of Plaka, Agia Anna, Maragas, Agios Prokopios, Orkos, etc. The hotel has parking space, there is a hose with which you can clean the car a little, very useful considering how much dust is deposited from the wind that blows daily. Towels were changed every two days, linens every three days, the room was swept, washed, and the trash cans emptied daily. The two ladies who run the hotel were very nice and helped me with any information I needed, by the way, they also have an excellent raki, for those interested :)

Lovely room, bathroom and kitchen facilities. Balcony/verandah area. Rural location: a bit away from the main town, so you would need a car, but close to amazing beaches. Staff very friendly. Lots of cat friends.

MaltaThe kitchen utensils could have been upgraded as we struggled to cook a plate of pasta - there was no colander nor any pot lids. The glasses available were also limited. It would also have been nice to be provided with a bottle of water upon arriving since as mentioned above, there were no shops in the vicinity.
We really liked the location, it was really quiet and serene. Ideally you'd travel by car/quad since there are no shops within walking distance. The apartment was really clean and well lit. Apart from that it was cleaned on a daily basis. Parking is also available at the property. Another plus was the stray cats fed by the owner that surrounded the whole property 🥰

United KingdomThe aircon wasn’t working but the room had many windows and wasn’t really necessary!
The rooms are super spacious and the staff is so nice! The view is also incredible and it’s in a great location if you have a car, close to the center and the most popular beaches. Everything was so clean and comfortable

United KingdomIf I had to complain, the WiFi didn’t work in our room.
Mateus Studios is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived the staff could not do enough for us (bear in mind it was 1am!). We were captivated by the breathtaking views, surrounded by a beautifully flowered garden and overlooking the Aegean Sea. The location is perfect—just 10 minutes from the serene Plaka Beach, and a pleasant walk along the strip takes you to a variety of charming tavernas (15-40minute walk from start to finish), with Manolis being our absolute favourite. The peaceful atmosphere and picturesque surroundings make it a haven for relaxation. The studios are spacious, clean, and equipped with a kitchenette, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. Whether you’re enjoying the sea views from your balcony or a quiet moment on the patio, it’s an ideal spot to unwind. The staff are wonderful, always friendly and eager to help with anything you need. Their warm hospitality truly makes you feel at home. The proximity to Naxos Town, Filoti and the port makes it easy to explore the island. Plus, the added bonus of private parking and car rental arrangements made everything hassle-free. Mateus Studios is the perfect combination of tranquility, comfort, and convenience. We can’t wait to return to this idyllic retreat!

It was so clean and we felt super comfortable. Maria the owner was very kind and helpful. There were also lots of cute cats around who made our stay that much more pleasant. The beach was only a 20 minute walk from the property and through a beautiful county field. The staff were so lovely to the point where they even gave us a free lift to the bus stop so that we could get to our next destination.

New ZealandIf you’re staying in Naxos for the first time, I would stay a bit closer to Chora. We got ATVs for our stay and was perfect but without personal transport it is hard to get around Naxos. There are buses but it’s a little walk from accommodation, however we found it so nice be away from the hustle and bustle.
Everything was clean and it was so nice and comfortable. Our host was amazing! She even gave us a ride to the bus stop on the last day. We had everything we needed and the room was so spacious!

United KingdomMaria, the host, was the best host I ever had in a while, she was helpful and available for everything, she made us feel like at home. The location is quiet and perfectly, but you would need a car/scooter to move freely. We will definitely choose this place again when visiting Naxos.

ItalyThe kitchenette is very small, which is fine, but it had minimal/non existent supply of essential cutlery and kitchen ware for making some meals. I would add a few objects and it would be great (a pan, a colander, corkscrew, forks and knifes etc..).
We had the smaller studio for 2 people and it was great. The studio is in a perfect location both by bike, scooter and car. It has a spacious parking. We had a tiny terrace, AC, a tiny kitchen and a wardrobe for our clothes. Hosts are nice and reachable by phone, they live on site. Cute cats around the housing complex.

GreeceBathroom: Shower a little small, glass shelf under mirror not straight, little space to place toiletries. Kitchen: Relatively small space, only one knife (not sharp). Since the tap water is not drinkable, a bottle of water should be in the room, at least for the first night. It would be great if some darker curtains were added.
Good location if you have a car since no restaurant or market close by (but 10-15 minutes to Plaka beach. Very clean and quiet. Nets on each window so you can sleep with open windows. Accommodating owner when we requested extra pillows. Cute cat with her kittens! Parking in the back. Very pretty property, well maintained. Excellent value (50E/night)

CyprusBeautifully decorated and very spacious room, with a large veranda and a huge umbrella. Functional kitchenette. Bathroom a little old but very clean and fully functional. Balcony door and window were protected with net, so I could sleep with a fresh breeze, without bug troubles. Owner was really accommodating. GreeceThe only thing I would change would be to renew the mattresses, pillows and bedsheets as they seem used and were quite hard. For a 2 night stay it was okay but for more days the mattress would be very uncomfortable.

United StatesWhen we arrived we were greeted by the owner and her daughter, both incredibly welcoming and so nice. Beautiful location, we could see Plaka beach from our balcony.m and the sunsets were out of this world!! The flat was cleaned everyday and new towels were brought. Anything you needed, all you had to do was ask. Would recommend a car solely because that was the easier way for us to enjoy all the beaches at Naxos, but Plaka is walking distance and there’s a bus to town.
