Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceNothing to say!
Located in the heart of Athens, in a lively suburb with restaurants and hip bars. The room with jacuzzi was private and well equipped. It's close to the key tourist sites and to public transport. Breakfast was excellent, with vouchers given for a restaurant next door, even with a takeaway for an early departure. Access is easy with codes. The staff were friendly and helpful.

United StatesIf the main door was closed (after 10pm) you had to walk up a flight of stairs to access the elevator. There are steps up to the bed with no rail to hold on to, our room view was awful.
Good location, good price, great employees and a nice room.

United StatesWas loud late into the evening/night, but given the neighborhood, was not too surprised.
Excellent location right in the heart of the Psyri and walking distance to all the major city center activities, shops, markets, museums, ruins, and attractions. Great Terrace and plenty of space in the room. Lots of cool little details (like a vinyl record player with Beatles albums on hand) - staff was awesome and accommodating.

SwitzerlandThe elevator is arriving direclty in the room, which is not an issue, but early in the morning it causes a lot of noise. In addition, there is the light of the elevator that you cannot turn off. The fact that it was not bar/restaurant in the hotel, but we were informed. The room could have been cleaned better. The fact that we had to leave.....
Small structure in the heart of Psiri area. The personel was extremely friendly and polite, which is always really appreciated. The room was big and had a balcony with a view on Lycabettus. Small rooftop (no bar/restaurant) available for customers.

United KingdomRoof terrace has a lot of potential but it a little bit jaded looking. It looks better in the pictures as it seems like it used to connect to the roof terrace of the hotel next door but now there is a locked gate between. However still really nice to sit and watch a sunset. Noisy at night as it is in a busy area but to be expected with such a central location and worth it. Shower leaked but overall the room was lovely.
Location is excellent. Close to Monasteraki metro station which made getting to and from the airport easy. Walking distance to all the main attractions and areas of interest. Breakfast in the cafe nearby was really good. Nice little roof terrace for watching the sunset!

New ZealandWe stayed for two nights in a suite with a balcony on the third floor. We were met on arrival by a couple of cheerful, friendly and helpful hosts who got us sorted in our room and later were to provide great restaurant and bar suggestions. Melo is about as central in Athens as you can get. Everything is within walking distance and its location 100 meters up from Monastiraki Square makes it almost impossible to get lost. Psirri offers many cool bars, shops and sights within 5 minutes of Melo. The room was much bigger than we expected, we had plenty of room to spread out. The king sized bed was great, there was a facility to make a coffee, a fridge and a large bathroom with walk in shower. We did not hear any noise from the street. A special treat is access to a rooftop balcony with sunset views to the Acropolis and across town. We had the rooftop to ourselves on both nights for a pre-diner drink before heading out. We ate at Dopios and had a memorable diner on the last night at Oinoscent, both were exceptional.

United KingdomThe Wifi didn't work properly so we couldn't watch Netflix, etc., in the evenings. It seemed to be worse at peak times. There's a LOT of noise, some of which is just the neighborhood, but also the elevator opened up into the room (also has its benefits!) meaning there was a lot of noise when other people used the elevator because it's very close to the sleeping space. The windows/doors could probably have better noise sealing from the neighborhood.
Lots of space, clean room, nice views, easy access with codes, nice staff, great value for money for a long weekend away. Our room had a record player and lots of candles which was fun, plus a fridge and basic dining facilities/coffee which was handy.

EstoniaYou can hear the noise from outside during the evenings, it did not disturb us but if you are a light sleeper then take earplugs with you.
Great place with luxurious extras - bubble bath, large terrace and two rooms. The breakfast restaurant by the next door was also lovely, with various choices for a good start of the day. We really felt pampered and had a nice stay in Athens

AustriaCheck in or out at the time that the Reception is closed, means using the stairs. Which was for us really difficult with stroller and bags The elevator was inside the room and close to the bed, which was noisy especially in the morning and the light was shining permanently The water was cold on one day and nobody informed us about it The location is amazing but quite noisy. Better noise cancelling windows should be installed. There was no chair in the room. Just a not removable sofa and the beds. The breakfast in the partner cafe was tasty but with limited options
