Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe hotel is a 30 minute walk from Rethymno old town. It's along the beach so not unpleasant but it quickly becomes a chore. The immediate area is overdeveloped and quite busy with traffic, even in the off season and driving in and parking is inconvenient.
Very nice rooms, great breakfast and excellent staff. The pools looked lovely, although we didn't find time to use them. A really good quality large hotel with fantastic facilities. Close to the beach, a supermarket and several good restaurants.

CanadaFor someone who wasn't up for a 15 min walk, it was a bit further out
Close to the beach yet a bit further from Old Town. Nice to be able to walk where I wanted

GermanyConfusing system with check-in with App - not convenient at all. If you miss a button “Check-in” once you never gave a chance to make it 😀 And why should I Install app for check-in? If I don’t want/don’t have enough space on mobile?
Everything was very good, food/service/rooms

LithuaniaDinner was included in our booking, but no any drinks were included - even the water. All drinks during the dinner had to be paid in addition.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Not far from city center - we were walking by foot. In short distance from the beach. Place for car parking. Spacefull room (we booked a studio). We found in the room a small bottle of wine, fruit, left as a greeting gift from a hotel which was very kind from their side. Also we got souveneir oil bottles before leaving. We have very kind memories about this hotel hospitality.

United KingdomI could've done with more tea bags, my room was only cleaned twice in my 4 night stay, however, that may be due to me being in and out of the room during the day one time. I am sure I could've also asked for a tea bag, however I didn't feel I needed to as I was so busy attending a wedding. Upon check out I ordered a taxi and it took foreeever to arrive. Every time I've ordered a taxi it has arrived within 5 minutes so I was quite stressed as I was heading to the airport. I'm sure this is not the hotel's fault but some advice would be to book taxis in advance.
I booked to stay at Minos Hotel, but was upgraded to their partner hotel next door, Minos Ambassador Hotel & Spa. It was an adults only 5 star hotel and I got a suite. It was amazing, so comfortable, large, great facilities. The food options were great. Fantastic breakfast, very friendly staff. The pool was great as well, not too busy and plenty of sun loungers. Very close to the beach and a supermarket as well.

GermanyOur room (number 510) was quietly located, which was great! The rooms facing the pool or the busy street would have probably been too loud (music, evening entertainment in pool area / traffic).
Very convenient location right near the beach promenade, surrounded by shops/supermarkets/restaurants etc. Bus stop to historic town centre outside hotel if you don’t want to walk (too far for young children). Very clean property, nice children‘s pool and main pool.

I think (speedy Gonzales) ,you know who you are,.....a top class waiter, did twice as much work as anybody else....and such fun, always sharp, ready to help with a smile on his face. SPEEDY TAKE A BOW👍 Also Vaso at the bar was excellent, friendly, and top class person also All in all nice Hotel, food was good, value for money and I certainly would recommend.

Excellent customer service, in particularly Constantina (Customer Relation Manager) and Yanis. Friendly family run hotel despite its size. Breakfast was good with wide variety of choice. We were even treated to a gift on Greek Easter Sunday. Hotel is about 25 minutes walk to the old town, and plenty of safe public parking nearby.

FinlandFamily rooms are in a different building, which makes it seem to be in a separate block of flats (it's an issue mainly for the atmosphere, the rooms are ok). The quality of the food is honestly low. Lack of kids' facilities
Location (few meters from the beach and 20 min from the centre), cleanliness, quality of the facilities (the family rooms building seems new), nice and friendly stuff

CanadaSome of the desk staff weren't overly friendly or helpful. Also, a couple of the staff in breakfast areas wore their masks around their necks. I don't think that's going to help them or us avoid covid! A longish walk into old town, but a lovely one along the oceanside and beach.
A very large, modern, clean room, with a huge outdoor terrace overlooking the pool and the ocean. Nice to arrive to wine and fresh fruit in our rom. Nice bathroom. Excellent breakfast.

GreeceThe hotel has not been renovated for long. The room was smelling mould In five days stay we never woke up by our will while there was no sound proof at all You could hear everything from the adjacent roomms: Alarm clock, water licking, furniture moving. Moreover, at 5:30 in the morning we woke up by the tremendous sound of electricity generator that it was just underneath our balcony! On the top of everything we ve asked to speak to the director 4 times and he never showed up!
Very kind personnel and good location
