Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaWifi was poor in our room, noise isolation was not good. We had ants in our bathroom.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were very clean. We had a cozy balcony. We went for business trip, so location was perfect for us, even though, quite far from the city center.

GreeceWhen I arrived, there was no one at the reception and had to rang the bell. The receptionist then came and asked me “What do you want?” 🥲 Wi-Fi connection and speed was ridiculous. 0,40 mbps download in the capital is a joke. The air conditioning was probably dusty. Every time I was switching it on, I was constantly sneezing.
Nice hotel, pretty comfortable if you just want a place to shower and sleep. Bed sheets smelled heavenly. Breakfast is not included, but with 5€, they provide it. I think it’s a fair deal. Big and comfy balcony.

RomaniaThe hotel is quite outdated. The ventilation system in the bathroom was covered with a big layer of dust. The margins of the carpet in the room were white of dust. I am allergic, so the big quantity of dust caused me an allergic reaction.
The price was convenient. Also, the man from the reception gave me a lot of useful guidance about the area (restaurant, beach).

AustraliaThe hotel is close to the beach, public transport and about a 10 mins taxi ride from the city centre. The hotel is well kept from its age and the staff were friendly and accomodating. The buffet breakfast was decent for the price.

GreeceThe shower stall was quite small and the shower curtain stuck to you when you were showering. The air conditioning unit needed attention as the plastic cover had fallen off, but I managed to put it back on and it worked fine which was much appreciated in the heatwave.
The cost, location, breakfast, comfortable beds and very welcome air conditioning in the heatwave!

SpainThe description on the site here is misleading (at best) on three points. There is no nearby metro. There are buses to the centre of Athens and to the airport (a useful app for buses, OASA Telematics). There is a tram line that runs the coast line but the access is quite a long walk because of the nearby motorway which has to be crossed. Rooms are nowhere near 33 m², maybe not even half of that. They are small, at least the ones I saw. I don't know what they mean by "modern amenities", I haven't seen such (see photo). The motorway is also a source of constant noise but it is supportable with windows closed. There is no hairdryer in the bathroom although you can ask for one at the reception desk. Anyway, it's uncomfortable. Room 302 has no bedside lamps, also quite uncomfortable. I have read about this in an old comment. They could do something in the meantime, it's not that difficult.
It has to be kept in mind that this is not a high grade hotel. Nevertheless it has enough good points that make it worth to consider. Friendly and helpful staff. For my taste and preferences the breakfast was very good. The hotel and the rooms are clean and well maintained despite being oldish and tired here and there. Most if not all rooms have nice balconies. It's a very good value for money. I would stay there again if I need to.

SpainIt could be a little bit closer to the beach.
The value for money of this hotel is excellent. It is very comfortable and reasonably located, within a 15 minute taxi ride of the centre. The breakfast is an ample buffet with an infinite amount of coffee and juice for a very reasonable price. A taxi to the centre of town costs 12 euros.

Italy2 out of 5 nights there was some big party next to the hotel and the music was very loud; obviously, it's not the hotel fault.
Good quality for the price - breakfast is 5€ per day; there were not many vegan options (bread+jam and bread+tomato) but it worked fine. The staff was friendly and the room clean; AC was working fine. The area was perfect for me as I had a work conference at the Planetarium. There are some cafes and restaurants in the area.
