Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room had 3 single beds, so was a little tight. Would have been fine with just the 2 beds.
Is an excellent location, just a couple of minutes walk to Acropolis and the museum. Easy walk around to other tourist attractions. Buffet breakfast was ok. The staff were friendly and spoke good English.

United KingdomPillows need upgrading, that is all!
The hotel is very central, walking distance to the Acropolis and many other attractions. The staff were very attentive and courteous. The room was old decor but all functional and comfy, except perhaps for the pillows that could do with upgrading. But there were tea/coffee facilities, a fridge, a safe box in the wardrobe, good size TV that worked, seamless wifi, toiletries and soft towels, The shower was handheld, which is a bit of a job to use, but hot and cold water fine. Nice reception area and decent bar. Breakfast in a good-sized, aired room, with a good mix of food (continental). Recommend!

SerbiaYou would expect a four-star hotel to be a bit more luxurious and to include some additional facilities. Nevertheless, it offers more than enough for a pleasant and affordable stay in one of the most beautiful parts of Athens.
Location can hardly be better. Hotel is just few minutes of easy walk to the Acropolis, and the metro station is right next to the hotel. You may take a train from the airport to Syntagma square and from there it is just one metro station to the hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and they are being cleaned on daily basis. Staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast selection is limited, but everything is very tasty. Neighborhood is nice and quiet, and the entire street is full of tangerine trees, which makes you truly feel the mediterranean vibe. Great value for money.

United StatesThe hotel is starting to look dated. May be some upgrades and a new coat of paint to brighten the establishment up.
The best thing about the Airotel is the location. You are steps away form the main sites to visit. You have restaurants also within steps away if you want something to eat other than the hotel's food, which is convenient. Lastly, the staff was very helpful and kind. They always greeted me with a smile and answered all my questions!

IndonesiaThe food is okay, it has plenty of proteins and fruits and bread etc. I just wish it has more varieties or maybe changing some menu every 2 days or so.
This hotel has the best location, very close to metro station and to the famous archeological sites around Acropolis. There's lots of restaurants nearby and one supermarket like 100 meter from the hotel. The hotel itself looks quite old but comfortable. My room is spacious and clean, the bathtub is tiny so I just use the shower instead. The staffs are all very polite and quick to assist your needs. I was able to time my departure to airport using metro thanks to the manager, Piros. Overall, I enjoy my stay here and will recommend to anyone visiting Athens.

The location is amazing. You’re within a few minutes walk from The Acropolis, museum, metro station and Odeon of Herodes Atticus. There are also many shops, restaurants, cafes and bars nearby so there are always options for places to go! The rooms are just the right size, with balcony, en-suite bath room and fridge, safe, AC/heating and tea/coffee making facilities. The bed we got was Queen-sized and super comfy, although we did have to ask for a couple more pillows, but aside from that we were very happy. Breakfast was fabulous! Many options to suit different dietary requirements and open from 7-10.30am. Everything is kept stocked up so no matter when you arrive, you will not leave starving! The staff were also really polite and friendly and always ready to assist us if we needed anything.

United KingdomA Small cups. A larger cup would have been nice, but maybe that is just my choice. I think the rooms are ready for a brighter colour scheme.
The vicinity of the hotel was perfect, literally just around the corner from the Acropolis and the metro. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from, and nice walking on pedestrian streets. The room was clean, warm and I like the idea of refillable glass bottles from a water fountain to save plastic. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was always being replenished. The towels were very fluffy and plenty of them, and the bedding was spotless. A lovely hotel and we will definitely be returning.

New ZealandRoom was nice and clean and we had a great deck to sit out on but the deck was not so clean. Nothing major required - perhaps the occasional hose down and something to catch the excess water that dribbled out of the aircon unit on the deck😁
Great location. Nice touch was the refillable glass bottles provided and access on each floor to water coolers.
