Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The location was wonderful, right on the seafront, and with a very short stroll to the centre of Aegina. The family are incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful.

New ZealandNothing!
The friendliest and most genuine welcome and ongoing helpfulness from Janis, Eric and the Father of all! The hotel is in the perfect location, right on the seafront, a beach 20m away and line of good restaurants right out the front including the lovely Plaza Taverna run by the Uncle. Only 100 m from the port and 150m from the main waterfront area. A truly memorable stay, and we would go back there if we are ever fortunate enough to visit Aegina again

AustraliaTiny tv. But we didn’t even turn it on, because of view from balcony and we we busy doing things.
Great location across the road from sea and beach 50 metres away. Restaurants straight across the road as well. Easy walk from ferry and easy access to old town as well. owner and sons were great nothing any trouble bottle opener . They also organised a car hire for us which was cheaper than advertised rates we saw and was a good little car which we used for the day to explore the island. This is well worth doing.

New ZealandThere was nothing we didn't like.
Wonderful location. Close enough to walk to the hotel from the ferry and only 50m from the beach. Eric and Yannis were wonderful hosts, as were other members of the family. View from the balcony was superb, overlooking the ocean and restaurants along the waterfront.

Ioannis, Eric and their dad are the warmest kindest hosts! I was loaned a great hat which was a life saver in the sun. Had a lovely room with a sea view balcony. 4 minutes walk from the ferries. Lovely tavernas next door. Few minutes from the Kolona site. Aegina is gorgeous and I wish I could have stayed for longer!

A lovely hotel run by a beautiful family. Very welcoming and friendly. Always ready to assist. We had a room with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach right at your doorstep along with restaurants and cafes. A few minutes walk to the busy town centre and the Ktel bus next door. Very convenient and easy way to get around the island. We visited some beaches, it stoped in front of Afaid and the monastery. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect location. Thank you.

United States of AmericaThe hotel is a quick walk from the ferry port. When we walked in, we were welcomed by Giannis, who is probably the nicest person we ever met. The hotel room itself was nice with a wonderful balcony that overlooks the water and Flisvos restaurant. The location itself is great, slightly off the main area but about a 3-min walk and right by four great waterfront restaurants and really cute cafes. It is also very very close to the recommended temple of Apollo. We really enjoyed lovely Aegina and the Plaza hotel was the perfect way to introduce us to it.

FranceNothing… but I think as I was in low season the hotel was not full so I couldn’t hear my neighbours through the walls !
- The welcoming - Perfect place to enjoy a beautiful sea view in the city center - The balcony with the seaview are so beautiful, perfect to take the breakfast or else (but I guess during summer it must be noisy with the road downstairs, but in this sunny november, it was perfect !) - The staff and brothers Kalamakis family owner (I will exchange 1 year in paris, against 1 year job as a receptionnist there soon 😉) - I had the choice to choose my room : I chose the top floor sea view (2 stairs without a baby stroller are not a problem… what a pleasure to travel without my kid !) - The room and bathroom were clean (a pleasure to take a good shower with a view on the Apollo kolona !) - I only use the TV and the mini-fridge. There are a kettle and cups is needed too
