Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere were very few guests so no breakfast was provided. I only saw the manager and he sadly lacked information about the island. Budget hotel , doors slamming all night and could hear everything in the next room.
Proximity to the port. Very clean, lots of hot water , good shower and comfortable bed.

United KingdomThe rooms are a little dark and dated but everything works and this is exactly the sort of simple, value for money lodging that is hard to find these days. The manager could have provided a little more information, such as a walking map - or perhaps mentioning the major island festival (which I just chanced upon while walking 8.5km to the caldera rim village).
Excellent continental breakfast, with eggs, fruit, and cheese. Rooms have balconies or a shared terrace, facing the sea. Just 100 metres from the port. The island is a potential Geopark with spectacular scenery. Dodecanese Seaways connects the island to Kos, Tilos or Rhodes (with a free 20% discount card from their website).

United KingdomMy room had two broken electrical sockets so charging devices had to be done separately in the remaining one. The hot tap also didn't turn on.
Beautiful location, minutes from the port and then on into Mandraki itself. Rooms were a good size and the free aircon and WiFi was an added bonus. Breakfast also very good.

ItalyRooms and furniture, especially in bathroom, should be refurbished. Terrace is shared and for someone may not be the top of privacy. If they could add a pool or some sunbed/umbrella on the terrace, it would upgrade the whole experience.
Rooms and their furniture are simple but functional. Breakfast was very generous and wifi perfectly working. Nice terrace overlooking sea. Little and avaluable parking for guests near the busy port. Nisyros is a simple island which requires some time to be discovered and fully appreciated. Not a beach destination but still authentic atmosphere and not touristy at all.

United KingdomUnfortunately the bathroom was a bit of a let down; basically rather small. The shower curtain stuck to you while washing. However this was our only issue during our stay
The owners of Romantza were very helpful rearranging our stay with them because we had a last minute change of plan. The hotel is a 1 minute walk from the port and 5 minute walk from the town. The breakfast is fabulous with everything covered to protect from insects. The accommodation is adequate with comfortable beds. .

United KingdomThere was no light over the kitchen sink and the room was quite dark due to the brown tiles and dark wood. We wanted to have a view over the lovely church but our room looked over the side of the building.
Good location, 50 metres from the port. Very comfortable beds and good bedding. Wi-Fi was good. Close to the village.

TurkeyPerfect location, so easy to find. Very quiet and peaceful with a Church right across the road. Th room was very clean, and we had the view from our balcony. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was really very good with some local products. The lady named Athina was very helpful. Her small presents made us so happy and welcome. I'd definately recommend Romantzo to my friends.
