Property We really appreciated the beautiful architecture of the property, as well as the tasteful interior design and decoration of the suite. Location The location is remote, but the peace and quiet, the almost private beach right below, and the starry night sky more than make up for it. Other At check-in we were welcomed by an affectionate kitten who came by often to hang out with us during our stay. (please do not feed her in the property) We were also happy to find snacks and drinks in the fridge upon arrival.

Privacy -nearby suites share a pool with an over-surface separation, so it didn't really feel private - we should have paid closer attention to the photos. -the porches are very exposed to the parking area, esp. suites 3-4 where one can easily see inside. In our suite (No 4) in particular, one can actually walk into the private pool area, which further compromised the feeling of privacy. View While we appreciated the wild, natural setting, the vegetation in front of the pools could be gardened to stop preventing the infinity pool effect. Mattress We appreciated the high-quality brand, but we found it much too firm to sleep comfortably. Cleanliness There is no house-keeping apart emptying the dustbins, which is fine by us, but at least at check-in we would have appreciated not finding signs of the previous guests, at this level of service. Other There was a certain time lapse in our communications with the hosts. Minor issues (such as broken umbrella, torn mosquito screen, blocked safe) could be fixed, but we didn't really bother. Wi-Fi code could be visible for guests to connect in case of bad reception.

Amazing if you are looking for luxury and tranquility we stayed 7 nights and hardly left, 1 day to sweet water and loutro and 1 day to preveli and a nearby bay shinaria the rest of the time we stayed at or around the amazing place!

Everything was perfect!

The place and our hosts were wonderful! The beds are extremely comfortable, the apartments are very clean, the beach is 1 minute walk away and very quiet, almost no people. There are several restaurants nearby, one of them is 3 minutes walk away. It is very quiet, peaceful and you have perfect privacy. Also the cleaning lady Maria is very nice and friendly.

Our only complaint is about the cleanliness of the pool. We didn't dare use it, as it didn't have any purification systems, and there was no chlorine in the water. It was unpleasant that frogs came every evening, they were swiming at the pool and every night they lined up in it and start to croak very loudly at night.

Nothing not to like but if I have to say something the toiletries were not refilled ran out of shower gel the next day but when asked it was immediately provided on the last day

My girlfriend and I had an incredible experience at Salvia! The location is incredible if you’d like to wind down from day to day life and fully immerse yourself in peace and tranquility. Amazing apartment with everything you need and a beautiful terrace with infinity pool. From your terrace, you take a few steps and you can dive into the ocean, such a special experience. And then the hosts: hospitality really was 10/10! We have felt so welcome in their apartment, they offered to help with everything we needed and surprised us many times with their kindness. Would definitelt recommend!

We loved staying at Salvia - it’s been our second visit in two years and it was the right decision to come back once more. The hospitality and attentiveness of the hosts is one of the many reasons we felt at home! The ocean view, sound of the waves at all times, and overall calm surroundings round it up to be the perfect place to wind down and explore the south of Crete. End of October was still warm enough to spend time in the pool, the ocean was also warm enough to swim.

Pool.View.Privacy. Comfort. Cleanliness. Everything was 10 points and we enjoyed our stay 100%. Hospitality was top notch. Thanks so much.

Excellent location and very quiet and relaxing. Infinity style pool was excellent and the housekeeper did laundry for me for no additional charge. Collecting the keys was easy and the hosts super friendly and responsive.

Luxury suite with a beautiful sea view. You will need a car in order to get to this location and move around, but it’s worth it. You will find a lot of great restaurants in the area. The hosts are lovely and welcoming people and the cleaning lady, Maria, will steal your heart :)

The location by the sea, the apartment, and especially the terrace with the private pool were sensational and exceeded all our expectations. Maria was very nice and took perfect care of the cleaning. Also, a great tavern (Zorbas) is only 5 minutes away on foot. All in all, it was very perfect, quiet, relaxing, and clean. We will definitely come back. The beaches in the nearby and surrounding area are really great and not crowded. Everyone will find their ‘secret spot’ here.”

A beautiful villa in a lovely tranquil setting.

We would improve the signage into the parking area as many cars seemed to use this private area for turning round or stopping to explore the beach and take photos before moving on.

We loved the concept of the prosperity, the privacy, proximity to the sea and the almost private beach, the homey apartment, all above made us feel at home. We loved it and we can’t wait to be back. Definitely a gem!

Exceptional villa with great location if you want to really relax, enjoy the pool and the sea. Strategically located to explore south Chania and Rethymno with numerous famous beaches nearby. As we know the area very well, we didn't venture out at all. We simply enjoyed the pool and the beach. The taverna's within two minutes walk are also very good for a simple good quality meal. The hosts are both very hospitable and very discreet. Upon arrival we had everything we needed for a long weekend break. I could easily see us there for a week of absolute relaxation.

This location was the entire reason that we stayed in southern Crete. I fell in love with the images online and had to stay there with my family. We could have stayed forever. The owners were very communicative and brought my children gifts. I have never stayed in such a beautiful and peaceful place. I will go back here one day!

The location and the view! In the end of April the plunge pool is still a bit cold, nevertheless we enjoyed it a lot (coming from a colder place). It’s just such a wonderful place to relax and listen to the sound of the ocean. Absolutely would love to come back again!!
